Well, as my Anatomy and Physiology class is fairly inane, we talked about tattoes for hours...
Obviously, tattoes have been in existance for all eternity, and piercings, i'd imagine, nearly as long. Does anyone know anythin more on them?

I can tell you that the first modern Europeans to get tattoos were sailors from Captain Cook's crew on the Endeavour, on the mission where he mapped the East coast of Australia. They spent several months at Tahiti, and many of the crew, including a soon-to-be-famous young man named Banks, decided to try the Tahitian practice of tattooing for themselves. This is where the tradition of the tattooed sailor began.
