I wrote a letter (email) to CIV III but no answer...My cd has like 3 cracks going from the center (produced by the cd holder which is too thight...) so when I'd get my cd i had to pull to that gives some distortion to the cd....cracks...I didnt drop it one time... now (today friday) he's unreadeable...its says READ ERROR.. please insert civ III cd-rom...i dont find the receip!!! Can I exchange it or have to send it to Firaxis? :cry:

I was looking everywhere... but couldnt find any phone number except the "live" support...hopes somebody will answer cause that will cost some money...Heard nobody answers...i'll try...

Hello,
I have exactly the same problem except I bought the game twice, therefore I have two cd's and both cracked to the point where I cannot use any of them.

did you phone the company?...There is somebody on the board sying the live support is not live but automated and it cost him like the price of the cd to phone there!!!I see your in Toronto.I am in MOntreal so it will cost us a lot more from canada...I'll send a fax maybe...I'm sure they will give me another one but the problem is to get them to read your problem...

I had this same problem, after buying the CD and about 4 months of use, it started to crack, so i simply backed it up using my CD Burner, downloaded a NO-CD crack, and cool, job done until...
the patches were released, i could not find no-cd cracks for the updated game, so like ya man above i had to repurchase the game, as the live number is not applicable to phone from the UK :mad:

I just send a letter (email) to firaxis to their customer service and explained the situation and i just have to send my cracked cd and they will ship me a new one....
Do just like me...
The customer is the only thing that counts with companies
email me for more information
