i think you guys should add spain it provides a real life map it was colonised by greece carthage rome so it is realistic:D

You didn't play 003, I assume. It was full of txt keys. And true, Colopedia still need work. Wanna help? :)

I turned a master pressman into a spearman, got a pink box for his art, and then CTD'd. Other than that no issues still.

Hmm, most work of Phase 1 is done. There are some screens that still needs a new flavor but I'm working on it. The biggest issue right now are the dialogs/descriptions. Maybe you can make a list where replacments are needed. And playing the mod and reporting back bugs is helpful too. :)

I turned a master pressman into a spearman, got a pink box for his art, and then CTD'd. Other than that no issues still.

ok, thx. what civ were you playing (the romans have a unique unit)

I still got a txt key in my pedia
oh yeah the pedia will have txt_keys. its the last priority except if you can mention cases whre you have no idea whats going on and it would help for the pedia to explain. but the history stuff won't be going in until the very end.

ok, i fixed this crash. just copy the assets into your assets folder. it'll replace your civ4units.xml. i had the soldier art going to another unit and that art caused the crash.

well it starts ok then just stops after about 25-30mb :( normally i dont have any probs but im at a lan atm, so think its their network...

Ok, here is the fix. it has the units.xml in it to from before - no change there just consolidating the patch.

something is wrong with the speedi mine it won't allow me to play:cry: it says before loading tag normal not correct and line 1:1 error:cry::cry:

Are you patched with the Firaxis patch? I assume that matters.

I think there is still some minor issue with Europe screen. Pressing right mouse button on in/outgoing ships can mess up the screen. I make a fix asap. I also want to finish city screen on weekend. Then I will do the remaining advisor screens. :cool:

cool. could you look at the technologies/FF civilopedia. its a low priority but the button shapes are off there

I have a Mare Nostrum Basic (without egypt) on my drive now. I still need to add egypt to it. but the next beta has some new bonuses that puts gold on the map 9trade goods it replaced was worthless). And I'm in the middle of making a Roman LH to turn the REF to a roman invasion. Would you prefer I release the basic or wait for the new changes?

I can wait for Egypt since I want to play them. I never play until I get REF or invaded so I'm indifferent there.

I think soon - work tied me up last week. I have a cool Roman LH in works so that put me a t a crux - should I release the basic with the current leaderheads or add the roman theme to the basic.

secondly i was experimenting with making so that you have to build groves and vinyard for olives and grapes but th ecode just doesnt help. It appears that if the terrain doesnt produce grpaes a TI cannot add grapes to it (unlike mines adding hammers to anon-hammer TI in civ4 - frustrating). So I'm between have a random resource pop-up or just abandon the idea completely.

I would wait with that until we have a real concept/plan for MN.

And if you set terrain producing to 1 and increase the improvement bonus? That way it would be possible but not very profitable to grow yields without an improvement.

I'm going to stop messing with the new Roman Leaderhead and release Beta 5.0 without the Roman flavor (though it would save on space). I'm going to do a bit of test running on it and release it by this weekend.

PS I added color to the tile yields, I know you've been asking for that.

Actually i pretty much finished but a CTD showed up when i changed the color-values (we had a few duplicates). But then as I was rebuilding it (starting with beta 4, the hotfix, then your new python) I then added (not sure of the order) the updated leaderhead graphics with xml, the new technologies, the new resource icons, and the interfcae icons and the game loads fine but when i tried to go back to main menu in game it crashes which means something is wrong. So I'm setting up a build sequence:

Beta4
hotfix
koma's python

interface buttons (new icons for builds, top menu etc)
technologies (fatherinfo.xml and tech buttons)
new resource icons (icons only)
updated leaderhead gfx (art + art defines.xml)
new bonus info (yield, terrain, tile imp, features xml)
updated civ and leaderhead xml (cities, names, colors, and goths)

actually going through my sequence I've found with BETA 4(!) before the hotfix and after the hotfix I get the CTD when I try to go to the main menu while in-game. Anyone else get that? Koma any chance you can help track it down?

Hmm, no I don't get that crash, it is working fine for me. That make it very hard for me to help you. Did you try it on another computer? If you are running out of ideas, just release it. Maybe other players have same problem and we get some report/hints what is causing this.
