Hey all,

I have just started playing civilization IV again, and I have been disturbed at how aggressive the computer AI are. The AI don't seem to fight each other, but just me. They will come from across the globe to fight me, when there are hostile nations around them!

So I am going to try to turn AI aggressiveness off, but is this bad? How much of a difference does AI aggressiveness make?

I'm currently a prince player, hoping to hop to monarch in a couple weeks, but I'd say to leave the aggressive AI on. Without it , the computer never seems to try declaring war on anyone, much less myself, and that's just no fun. With aggressive AI on, they'll try to stab you in the back when you go a-conquering (if you haven't already cleared off your continent), and that's always a great oppurtunity to put those horse archers and that Schliefen Plan to use.

Hmm... Well this is a very challenging game then. I have been playing Earth 18 Civs with Egypt, and I am getting defeated EVERY time. I don't know what to do. *sobs*
