View Full Version : Improving Scores

I've been on Monarch for awhile now, I can win about half my games so far, and when I do win, I've almost always gotten Augustus Caesar.

I've had some good scores (I think) but don't want to try higher difficulties until I'm a more consistent Monarch player...so I was wondering what are some small (even big) things I could be trying to get higher scores. I usually go for Conquest and Domination which are my best scoring games anyway, but I was curious about what all factors into score and what I can do to get some improvement.

Also, in the Hall of Fame screen, what's the different between Normalized and Score?

Thanks in advance.

-The earlier you win, the better.
-The higher your pop, the better.
-The higher your difficulty, the better.

Pretty much, the earlier you can get a dom victory, the better. Conquest is good too, and with vassals may be quicker.

If you have time for that, I strongly recommend reading this thread (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=260902)
