Post here the odd things you have noticed old people doing or saying in real life :D

1. Old couple eating in McDonalds - the man stops one of the staff and points out that they have forgotten to provide cutlery with the meal.

2. Old man I work with (obviously used to turning off lights after he has finished whatever he has been doing in a particular room) comes in to see me on a winters afternoon around 5pm about a job we were working on together. He leaves the room and switches off the light, leaving me to stumble around in the dark trying to find the switch.

Anyone got anything else?

I'm caring for my elderly mother right now, so I have about a million of them, some more sad than funny. Here's the one that's really baffling me this week:

Toothpicks. Mom had me searching Super WalMart for 20 minutes trying to find toothpicks. Why not just use floss?!?!?!?
