Welcome to the Fanatikan Nationalists Association. We are a Citizen Group dedicated to the principle that Fanatikans are the supreme peoples of earth. It is our Manifest Destiny as a nation to spread from coast to coast, spreading advanced Fanatikan culture, absorbing the backwards peoples of barbarian nations into our own great empire, and bringing the Fanatikan way of life to every corner of the globe. 2. It is our destiny to tame the barbarian nations of the world by annexing them to our great Empire and teaching them the Fanatikan way of life.
3. All who stand in the way of our bringing peace and prosperity to the world must be destroyed.

Our goals:

1. To encourage the annexation of foreign cities to our empire through conquest, culture, and espionage.
2. To encourage an agressive military posture so as to more quickly destroy our barbarian enemies.
3. To encourage scientific research to allow us to more quickly reach Nationalism and other Industrial Age techs.
4. To create peace and unity amongst all Fanatikans.

Should these beliefs and goals be in tune with your own, I encourage you to join your brother Fanatikans and create the steady hand with which we will set the course of this great land. I also offer a challenge to all whose beliefs are in conflict with that of this group: debate with us, and see if you do not come to a new realization of what it means to be Fanatikan.

I knew this would happen... And I do not want to see this kind of thread. I suggest closing and deleting (I'd suggest a small... "vacation", but I don't mod this forum...). Even as a German descendant, I will not stand for this. PI anyone? ;)

This is tricky. If we were playing Rome this would be perfectly acceptable. As we are playing Germany it is not. Enforcing a double standard is not pleasant but it is necessary in this case. This group must either be closed or all references to superiority must be removed.

In my opinion, nationalism is a fact of life, and most civilizations have considered themselves superior to their neighbors for much of their histories. To attempt to stifle thoughts and statements of nationalism and by doing so, fail to grasp it's meaning, is folly. This concept, with all of the good and bad associations it generates is real and a fact of history. I do however agree with Shaitan here that this double standard must be enforced because of the particularly ugly stigma that is attached to German nationalism.

OK... let me clarify. First, let me apologize to anyone I have offended. Secondly, this is in NO WAY related to what any of you are accusing me of. Our aim is simply to support the most basic of the game's ideas: victory. As you know, victory in this game REQUIRES being the superior civ on the planet. However, I hereby ask the mods to close my this thread for the purpose of keeping the DemoGame peace. That is all.
