View Full Version : Term III: City Placement Discussion
Bowsling May 02, 2009, 06:22 AM From the below picture I suggest this order:
Light Blue
Red
Yellow
Dark Green (If it hasn't already been taken by the Byzantines)
Light Green
Maroon
Any objections to locations/order?
DaveShack May 02, 2009, 04:44 PM Have the current settler locations been taken into account?
Edit: Looks like not. It might be good to put a heavily defended city near the dyes even before these are settled.
Cyc May 02, 2009, 09:07 PM The picture below is the current year, billybones27. We have 3 Settlers walking. The arrows point to their proposed ( by me) destinations. Sorry I took the liberty of building and directing these guys. Wasn't thinking, I guess. I figured we neededd to populate the N/NE to keep the Barbs out.
Other than these three, I do like your other recommendations. Light Blue, Red, and Yellow.

Falcon02 May 02, 2009, 09:10 PM Also Cyc, please note TheOverseer and I noted that There is a Vandal encampment near Maeve, so those Settlers are in danger
at least the unescorted ones
Cyc May 02, 2009, 09:31 PM Duly noted, Falcon02. I would think the Settler in the West is ok, as it is only moving 1 more tile. But the Eastern one should stop. :goodjob:
DaveShack May 03, 2009, 03:27 PM I don't remember, do barbs destroy an undefended city, or just steal some gold?
TheOverseer714 May 03, 2009, 03:35 PM They take gold, kill excess population, and destroy progess on active projects, but they can't raze cities.
Cyc May 06, 2009, 05:56 AM We have placed the 3 cities in the NE (Barb elimination). The light blue has been established. I have a city going up by the Dyes, so we'll need to get that city up NW of Breyr (Red). I have a Settler going towards the Yellow spot. If we can keep blocking the Byzs, that should work. The dark green doesn't look likely, but who knows. The Maroon has been placed and a Settler is approaching the Light Green, although the location will be the Green 11 spot. Sound good?
Cyc May 11, 2009, 08:28 PM Well Yellow and Dark Green are pretty much obsolete now, unless we go to war with the powerful Byzantines (then we can redistribute their lands). The light green was moved to the green 11 spot. Everything else has been established. What's next, Domestic Leader?
Bowsling May 12, 2009, 06:46 PM Here is the suggested new city placement:
Yellow
Red
Dark Green
Orange
Light Blue
Light Green
