I've completed a scenario of the war between Denmark and Sweden in the end of the 17th century. The scenario starts just before the end of the 30 years war. It was in that war Sweden took Skåne Halland and Blekinge.

It was a joke, I know that we don’t have mountains in Denmark, but there are some big hills around the place where I put the mountain. so it was just fun, I think.

No maybe not a scenario, but one could make beer a luxury trade object. It is one of our good exports. If there is wine, there should be beer as well.

and BTW, this said it was right after the 30 yrs war 1617-1647, and the great northern war was around 1700.

Use english please so the rest of us can understand what is being said. Most of us that use these forums do not understand the Scandanavian languages (I'm assuming its one of them, based on the letters used and their order in words).

Norway has a higher drinking rate. Denmark has nothing.

why would swedes wanna bash norway... we've done that so many times... (lose finland, grab norway in a "union" as compensation), the only real to powers in the north have been denmark and sweden, so if it's gonna be a bashing showdown, it's gonna be them two...

If the scenario should be realistic, you should play Sweden because Denmark didnt win any wars after the occupation of Sweden in the beginning of the 1500's. Sweden was the only scandinavian superpower in the 16- and 1700's. I was a bit irritated when I saw the map. You see Denmark wasnt our only interest. We occupied parts of Russia, Poland and Prussia too. A scenario with all that would be in my interest.

For all scandinavians: Norrmän talar svenska med antik dialekt. Danskar försöker tala likadant fast hur hårt de än försöker så låter det som att de har en varm potatis i munnen. Förklara annars varför danskar och norrmän förstår svenska men inte tvärtom! :D

Well I know that Denmark lost that war and a lot of others. But Russia lost the WW2, and some people like to play as them as well.

Russia and Poland had interests in other contrys than sweden, so in the end we'll have an scenario with the entiere world. Made before, and not funny for small Denmark and Sweden.

Just wanted to give my perspective in the debate about witch Skandinavian country that has the proudest history.

Finland-has always been the backyard of Sweden.

Norway-First a part of Denmark for a couple of hundred years, then Swedens little brother.

Danmark-500 years ago Denmark was a powerfull state but when they lost the important part of Skåneland(Skåne, Blekinge och Halland) they became a low power state.

Sweden-to 1520 Sweden was a poor state without any power but when Gustav (I) Vasa kicked Christian (II) den gode out of Sweden in 1523, Sweden started to become more powerfull. 1617-1721 was the primetime of Sweden, they marched into Moskow, conqured lots of land around the Baltic sea and defeted Austria, Denmark, Polen, Russia etc

In fact if we shall take this debate to a more intellectual level, the american professor Charles Tilly at the New School for Social Research wrights in his book (Coercion, Capital and European States AD 990-1992) about superpower states in the history. He mentions 15 states as superpowers some time in the period 990-1992 and Sweden is as only Skandinavian state one of them (from 1617-1721).

On scandinavic traditions:

In Scandinavia we are experts in taunting each other, often using rash language and phrases. Now, we might get a little angry (The Norwegians, especially, since they have been "in and out of unions" for over 500 years) now and then, but that is finished in no time! Naturally, we are always a little bit angry with our neighbours in the east and south, but that is all right, thanks to sensible leaders who use the oil money for other purposes than building up a massive machine of war...
