The English have Mysticism, the Alphabet and Masonry. What should we try to barter for?

i think we need mysticism most urgently as that will further our path to monarchy, thereby relieving the fifty percent worker efficiency penalty of despotism, and enable us to build a wonder should the desire and oppurtunity manifest themselves. i vote for mysticism.

i am torn between mysticism and masonry. Mysticysm would be good because of Neutral Leaders point. But, masonry is the best thing for us to get ahead in the war effort. If, and heaven forbid, we go to war with the english, then we need to have at least equal military units. So, i pretty much think that we should NOT get alphabet, and i think mysticism would be ok. But alas, i vot for Masonry.

But we don't know where the English are. We're about 25 turns or so into the game. That means, the English are around 25 tiles away from that hill. (about 30-35 tiles away from us).

Mysticism It helps us get to Monarchy. Plus it serves the purpose of the Jedi Council.

For me, it depends on what they want.

Has anyone even bothered to look if the english would even want to trade with us? we have nothing, absolutely nothing to offer them, except for gold and we don't possess enough. We could trade iron working when we discover it, but do we want to?
No culture wan't to trade with us, we have nothing of value to offer them, not even maps.
