So here I am, just made peace with good 'ol Ragnar because I didn't have the units to take more cities without major losses. Took two of his cities, (one was a capital), and worked a good hole into his empire. Now I'm stuck:


I've got Stalin in my backdoor, don't know how he slipped by, but we aren't exactly friendly.
I've got Ragnar crippled, and potentially ripe for the taking
I haven't checked on Saladin in awhile, but after I took Amsterdam and wiped out the Dutch, I went through his empire and pillaged, destroyed a city, and took all his workers
Bismarck is my war dog, sent him into war against Stalin and Ragnar (they declared on me in the same turn) and hasn't given up since.
Zara is WAY ahead tech wise, and he's about to pop some serious Macemen


So what next? Do I build up units again and try and push for complete victory over Ragnar? Alternatively, do I try and take more Viking cities and pursue capitulation? Do I ignore Ragnar for now, and clean up Stalin from my backdoor? Or, do I go try and grab Saladin in his weakened state (I'm not for this one). And lastly, maybe I should just ignore the warring, work on teching so I eliminate the potential to get wiped by Zara in 100 turns.

Save is attached, its Prince, Epic, Fractal. I know, Prince is lowly for these boards, but I'm working towards moving to Monarch soon. Better BTS AI is on.

But from the sounds of it, you've got Stalin distracted, if you make nice with Zara (get him to Pleased) you won't have to worry about him until you need to. My vote is to take out ragnar for good and with his land build up your techs in order to take on Zara

Yes, I agree screenshots would be good. But I'm playing on my Macbook on bootcamp, and I have yet to figure out how to take screenshots with this configuration (no printscreen key).

Zara is already at friendly and we share a religion, so maybe there is nothing to worry about with him...at this point.

Finish Ragnar, build your economy. Keep your friends and pursue your enemies. Next war should be vs Sal or Stalin.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm about to start this game up again and will definitely get straight to wiping up those nasty Vikings!

Let ragnar chop down the jungles for you, then kill him and finish cottaging all of the quality post jungle grasslands. For now work on upgrading your economy and military and attack only if an opportunity presents itself.
