The game keeps randomly crashing. I can't tell when it's going to happen. It might be in a few turns after I load a game or it might take a while, but eventually the screen goes black save for my cursor (still the CIV IV style) and I have to call up task manager to end it.

Well it is RFC random.;)

What operating system are you running?

I'm using Windows XP.

I just tried to do a complete reinstall of CIV IV and BTS but I still get the crash.

Weird. The only thing I can think of is if your graphics card isn't powerful enough.

Well it plays normal RFC fine and used to play RAND fine. It was only recently I ever got this problem. And I'd say it's more likely to be a graphics problem if it wasn't so random. How can I check my graphics setting?

I'm going to try to redownload RAND and see if that helps any.

If it plays normal RFC fine then it's not going to be your graphics card. Reinstall and let's see what happens.

Well, I'm at a total loss now. I totally redownloaded and reinstalled RAND and about 70 turns into my game as India the game just went black and froze. I have no other ideas what to try.

Huh, it seems to be working now. I totally deleted RAND and copied the redownloaded one into the mods folder. It's been about 250 turns into a game as Russia and no problems yet.
