Cyc May 17, 2009, 12:34 AM This is the instruction thread for the Game Session on Tuesday, May 19th.
The time of the Game Session is yet to be announced. But it will be this Tuesday evening/night.
Please post your Instructions below.
Current Game Save ~ 300AD (http://forums.civfanatics.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=213753&d=1241908588)
Cyc May 17, 2009, 12:40 AM This is insane. No response from our President. I'm taking control of the save. This is my impression of Al Haig.
Everyone please post your appropriate Instructions. Thanks.
CommandoBob May 17, 2009, 01:42 AM This is insane. No response from our President. I'm taking control of the save. This is my impression of Al Haig.
Is this a common occurance in Demo Games?
Furiey May 17, 2009, 03:44 AM Not in the Civ3 one, it's happened before in the Civ4 one.
Falcon02 May 17, 2009, 07:53 AM New Queue
1.) Cathedral (current)
2.) Knight
3.) Catapult
4.) Catapult
5.) Colosseum
6.) Knight
Falcon02 May 18, 2009, 05:15 PM Please begin Upgrading our Spearmen to Pikemen Starting with ALL Spearmen that can be upgraded in Pre-turn, this should only be 210 gold.
Past then shuffle around Spearmen and pikemen with cities with Barracks to get the rest of the Spearmen upgraded.
Please try not to leave cities undefended during this shuffling process if at all possible (especially our border cities)
CommandoBob May 18, 2009, 07:34 PM (Details in the TnT thread for Term III.)
Technology Recommendations: Continue our one geek run on Engineering, hoping that we can learn Engineering from The Great Library before Education kills that form of learning. If The Great Library becomes obsolete, research rate should be determined by the Turn Player based on current in-game realities. Head towards Military Tradition.
Trade Recommedations: No worthwhile deals to be had. Establish embassies with China (64 gold) and Persia (92 gold); we have 1369 gold. If we are serious about building The Sistine Chapel (i.e., it is not a place holder), investigate Adrianople (66 gold) and Arbela (cost unknown).
Cyc May 19, 2009, 04:46 PM Ok, let's make this 2100 hrs. Central Daylight Time. With Daylight Savings Time that means UTC/GMT -5 hours. This will be a Turn Chat.
Cyc May 19, 2009, 08:35 PM Our great City is about to grow. Please put our next citizen to work on Hibernia's Gold Mountain.
1. Complete the Cathedral
2. Start The Great Lighthouse
Cyc May 19, 2009, 09:03 PM Starting the Turn Chat now.

Civfanatics is way too slow for me to be posting updates. I will continue posting later.

Cyc May 19, 2009, 10:02 PM CommandoBob, should I build an Embassy with the Greeks for 78 gold?
Cyc May 19, 2009, 11:25 PM Gained a lot of information about our surroundings. The Great Library became obsolete, but we benefitted greatly from it's halls. We are getting a lot of satellite cities on the outer fringe of our Continent. This is disturbing. Sorry, no turn 5 Save.

Save says invalid link for me
Cyc May 20, 2009, 08:23 AM Says the same thing for me. too. Sorry. Didn't double check it last night. Try this one.
Bowsling May 20, 2009, 04:33 PM Depressing. Cyc was the only one at the T/C. Maybe if you were a little more specific about the time?

It's just too difficult for me to plan a 2.5 hour slot days in advance. My work schedule is constantly changing. I'll open up a new Instruction thread with a time scheduled, but if I need to work, I may come in and post an extension or delay.
Cyc May 20, 2009, 06:40 PM Shall we say this Friday night at the same time? 9pm Central Time?
CommandoBob May 20, 2009, 07:24 PM We have friends coming over to play Settlers of Catan this Friday evening, so I won't be able to be part of the turn chat.
I will have a Tech 'n' Trade analysis, based on the lastest save (400 AD).
