Wow, I didn't think I'd have a chance at first. But there is a certain disadvantage that comes into play when the difficulty becomes too low, which probably every player suffers from.

When there are seven victory conditions plus three medals, you run a fair chance of selecting a unique VC these days :)

I know.
It's a shame the participation has fallen so much.
I think it's marvelous that you guys are still keeping the competitions running :hatsoff:

Hmm, I really love playing a GOTM once in a while, but 2 weeks just isn't enough for a chalenging game like this and currently I'm more "on the COTM track" (meaning by the time I finish a COTM, there are only a few days left before the next one starts, so I don't even dare to start the current GOTM...) (The exception usually is: when the COTM is Sid and I get beaten early and decisively, I move over to the GOTM... )

But perhaps things would be different, if we try the "accelerated production" feature once in a while in a GOTM/COTM? (I know, this changes the strategies quite considerably, but why not give it a try?! Would certainly reduce the playing time...)

Cheers, Lanzelot
