JEELEN May 24, 2009, 05:29 PM Added MOO2Civ Patch4i (see post #1).;)
JEELEN Jun 27, 2009, 12:01 AM MinorAnnoyance has graciously provided a 3.19 update, which can be downloaded from here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=8208009&postcount=716
Simply download and unzip into the MOO2Civ mod folder; let existing files overwrite.;)
CivRulez07 Jun 27, 2009, 07:22 AM MinorAnnoyance has graciously provided a 3.19 update, which can be downloaded from here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=8208009&postcount=716
Simply download and unzip into the MOO2Civ mod folder; let existing files overwrite.;)
hmm...this isn't working for me. i downloaded and extracted the files and overwrote the previous files in the folders with the new ones, but the mod crashes while my single-player game is loading. the attached image is a pic of what happens when it crashes and i choose "click here" to see more details.
JEELEN Jun 27, 2009, 07:25 AM I've been playtesting the patch on both the FF Flat and Spiral Galaxy mapscripts and it seems to work OK. You do have patch 3.19 installed? (Sorry, have to ask.)
CivRulez07 Jun 27, 2009, 07:27 AM yes i do have BtS 3.19 installed
JEELEN Jun 27, 2009, 07:30 AM And you're trying this with patch 4i? Are you sure you installed the MOO2Civ 3.19 correctly as well?
CivRulez07 Jun 27, 2009, 07:34 AM never mind, i figured it out; i made a really stupid mistake: somehow, i COMPLETELY forgot that the mod took place in space, so i was choosing "continents" for the type of map, which caused the crash  it works fine if i choose one of the final frontier map types
JEELEN Jun 27, 2009, 07:42 AM Oh goodie!:D (I get that too sometimes...)
JEELEN Jun 29, 2009, 05:02 AM Here's the official download page for
MOO2Civ patch4j
http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=12703
Main change: update of MOO2Civ mod to official patch 3.19
Special thanks to MinorAnnoyance.:goodjob:
JEELEN Jul 01, 2009, 04:03 AM I've added an alternate download for Patch4i Full Install: http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/civilizationivbeyondthesword/mod/32279.html
os79 Jul 24, 2009, 09:15 AM I just downloaded your mod for future play.
When I ran the installer, it went fine.
Then I checked in the folders for patching the j patch purpose. I discovered that two units related xml files are in Assets folder, not in their Units XML folder. Was that intentional?
JEELEN Jul 24, 2009, 10:04 PM I appreciate the feedback, but could you be more specific? Which units?
os79 Jul 25, 2009, 05:10 AM I appreciate the feedback, but could you be more specific? Which units?
I meant files. Unitinfos.xml and unitclassinfos.xml are in Assets folder. I checked the XML for Units folder and there are the same files there too. But I was wondering why you had two copies of these files in Assets folder.
JEELEN Jul 25, 2009, 05:35 AM Ah, I see. No, I don't think that's intentional. I'll check it out. Thanks.;)
JEELEN Aug 15, 2009, 02:39 PM Just uploaded: MOO2Civ patch4k
Full info plus screenshots here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=13037
Dimmi007 Aug 21, 2009, 04:26 PM stupid question....wtf do i download? i got bts 3.19.
kay i downloaded everything, lets see if i can get it to work xD
nope, way confusing. would be nice if someone could give me directions.
JEELEN Aug 21, 2009, 08:57 PM If you downloaded the latest patch (see my previous post's link), it should be auto-installed - as the DL page says. (I intend to have Full Install versions auto-installed; in-between-patches should just overwrite Full Install files. Also, if you want to custom install, the auto-installer allows that too.)
TC01 Sep 15, 2009, 07:59 PM Could you upload the file to WePlayCiv instead/as well (since I notice you have a download link added there)? They have no size limit, something that's not really been publicized (unlike CFC: I was able to upload my mod there and it's 32 MB) and 2Shared is really annoying with advertisements when I click to download.
JEELEN Sep 15, 2009, 10:46 PM I already did; it's at http://www.weplayciv.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=156.
(Also, there's an alternative DL link on the DL page: http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/civilizationiv/mod/32844.html.)
EDIT: It's even uploaded at Apolyton (although I find it impossible to ascertain how many downloads I get there). BTW, both WePlayVCiv and Apolyton uploads link to 2shared, so I suggest using the StrategyInformer link, as suggested on the CFC DL page. ;)

MOO2Civ patch 4l
Full details on the download page here:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=13379
JEELEN Oct 11, 2009, 01:39 AM I've reloaded both patches 4k and 4l to StrategyInformer following a faulty install.
The links are still the same:
patch 4k http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=13037
patch 4l http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=13379
(I've added notes to this effect to all download pages.)
Hope this helps.
Neuron Nov 08, 2009, 04:40 AM I still get crash... I've got 3.19 patch and last MOO2Civ patch... I've got newest Assets and CvGameCoreDll... Game still crash when I load Final Frontier or Spiral Galaxy map... :(:(:... I work on Vista... please, help!
JEELEN Nov 09, 2009, 03:05 AM Is the mod installed in Firaxis Games\Civ4\BtS\Mods? (Specifically, are all the files there?) What patch were you trying to run?
Cykur Nov 11, 2009, 12:58 AM I thought I would check out the mod and I too am having problems. I downloaded patch L version and I noticed that it installed to Civilization rather than Sid Meier's Civ directory, so I moved the Mod folder to the correct path in the BTS\Mods path (with all my other mod folders, done this many times...). The game has a CTD on map generation...you never actually make it to turn 1. Seems consistent with what a lot of people are reporting. The mod folder is about 140 MB. I also tried several map scripts...a wormhole one, a spiral one, both crashed. The Enclosed Space map hung forever (I figured it was working, some of the complex scripts do that) but finally it crashed...not sure how long it took, I walked away from it.
Neuron Nov 11, 2009, 06:52 AM I've installed mod in 2kGames\Firaxis Games\Civ4\BtS\Mods (I have Civ4 Complete). I've tried patch "i" and others, but it's still doesn't work... :(
Neuron Nov 14, 2009, 07:53 AM Still crash on "initializing"... Why... why.... :(:(:(:(
JEELEN Nov 14, 2009, 10:27 AM I've installed mod in 2kGames\Firaxis Games\Civ4\BtS\Mods (I have Civ4 Complete). I've tried patch "i" and others, but it's still doesn't work... :(
For patch 4i you did have patch 4j installed over it (as it updates the mod to BtS 3.19)? And you did check if the files are actually in ...\Mods\MOO2Civ?
Neuron Nov 15, 2009, 06:28 AM I'ts finally work! I've installed patch 4j (in MOOCiv2 patchi mod category) and I've stoped Avast (antyvirus).
I've waiting now for patch M... :) and wormholes and other brilliant stuff...(because I have Spiral Galaxy only now and I can't choose type of star's dense for example)... Thank You very, very much! You are my guru now! :):):)
JEELEN Nov 15, 2009, 12:07 PM You're welcome.;) By the way, with the Custom Map playing option you should be able to adjust things like star density, no?
Ichi-nii Nov 20, 2009, 07:40 AM next stupid/dumb person here...
if i want the full mod in all it's magnificenze what should i download and install?
JEELEN Nov 20, 2009, 08:57 AM I suggest trying the latest Full Install version here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=13379
(If that for some reason doesn't work for you, there are links to previous Full Install versions on that same download page.)
JEELEN Dec 30, 2009, 01:28 AM Forgot to mention: MOO2Civ Patch 4l Wormholes Renamed
(a minor update by TC01)
http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=13884
Hopefully (fingers crossed) I'll be able to upload a stable Full Version by the end of this week.
You're welcome.;) By the way, with the Custom Map playing option you should be able to adjust things like star density, no?
Actually, the PLAY NOW option offers a choice in feature density. ;)
JEELEN Jan 10, 2010, 03:41 AM I've uploaded the current MOO2Civ 5.0 Beta here:
http://www.2shared.com/file/10404069...v_50_Beta.html (http://www.2shared.com/file/10404069/a6254888/MOO2Civ_50_Beta.html)

So if anyone is still experiencing bugs/errors please report them.
If no errors/bugs are being reported I'll be using this version for future updates/patches (and place it in the Downloads section officially, properly linked and announced).
NOTE: The file itself is called MOO2Civ 5.0 period (as is the ini. file), so trying to start "MOO2Civ 5.0 Beta" will not work. Save as "MOO2Civ 5.0", install in the ...\BtS\Mods folder and you should be fine.
More news later.
EDIT: Updated post #1 to include previous patch.
Pickly Jan 10, 2010, 10:06 AM Is the 5.0 beta a complete install?
JEELEN Jan 11, 2010, 03:28 AM Yes, it is. I've decided from now on to use the "patch" indication only if it's not a full version (like a normal person). :crazyeye:
fulano Jan 11, 2010, 11:55 AM Yes, it is. I've decided from now on to use the "patch" indication only if it's not a full version (like a normal person). :crazyeye:
Thanks dude! :) I'll be checking out the beta soon to see how it runs. Thanks for your work on this.

Asthix Jan 25, 2010, 10:39 AM Well it finally happened. The malware amassed its forces on the horizon, and issued forth the denizens of hell in a never ending wave upon my hapless OS. In the ensuing chaos, I realized I would have to reinstall windows Xp (which I no longer seem to have:gripe:) and thus the PC died.
Now the new rig is up however and I have more of everything than I ever dreamed.
(8 gigs of ram! 4 processors! (which is silly)) The video card has a gig of memory for crissakes! Anyway, it makes civ all smooth & buttery so it seems you've got a reliable playtester now! :goodjob:
That said, any ETA on an update? :groucho:
JEELEN Jan 25, 2010, 11:22 PM Wrking on it, but progress is slow. (I'm not inclined to give an ETA, as it forces me to not include things I want to include, I've noticed.)
Anyway, congrats Asthix! :goodjob:
davisd Jan 26, 2010, 09:29 PM Do I need Final Frontier to play this mod (I deleted it)?
JEELEN Jan 27, 2010, 01:29 AM Welcome davisd! No, it's a full modpack. Just download and play. ;)

Deon Mar 11, 2010, 08:42 AM I will need some time, and I will make a "working" stealth (toggleable).
I've spent this night making this: (look at pics)
Merged wormholes, stealth and a few other modcomps during the night. The most tiring thing is filling civilopedia entries :P.
The techtree par that you see is ~ 1/3 of what I've done and it's about 1/3 of the full tech tree I plan. For sure it's empty, I will add actions, buildings and civics to it later.
P.S. I will fiddle with Zerg mechanics a bit and then look into 5.0 .
JEELEN Mar 11, 2010, 11:08 AM Wow! Looks like you're on a roll. Looks tantalizing. :goodjob:

It is...
Deon Mar 11, 2010, 01:54 PM OK, I've found the reason of disappearance of systems. If there's something wrong in the python there's a very high chance that star placement script will freak out and will be unable to place stars as it should.
One of a reason for such behavior is a missing "hardcoded" building. You see, there're diffrent Final Frontier buildings hardcoded into python (like starting nutrition facility/mining facility) so if you rename them you get lots of errors. Better do not screw with basic building tags :).
fulano Mar 11, 2010, 02:36 PM I swear I posted... must not have, but I was going to say:
Cool! A starcraft Civ4 Mod!
Buildings hard-coded in python, no wonder things crashed when I changed the building tags. I imagine any building that increases bonus per worker is included in the hard-coded building list? I couldn't find anything in the XMLs to increase yield per worker.
Deon Mar 12, 2010, 01:45 AM Yeah, so before you rename a building, use a search of its name in Python folder and rename it there too.
Anyway, with Hide Python Exceptions off (civ4 ini file setting) it will directly say which buildings are missed.
Also note for your modmod: if you add new happiness/military/yield increasing/any new buildings, note that building of AI is hardcoded into CvAI.py; just open it and look for the code which says AI to build sports arenas and capital shipyards. Just copy it for your buildings there, or AI will ignore them.
JEELEN Jul 12, 2010, 05:43 PM Ok. Back on topic: I intend to upload v. 5.1 in time for the new BtS files listing of this month. ;)
JEELEN Jul 13, 2010, 02:41 PM Just uploaded: MOO2Civ 5.1
Details on the DL page here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=15039

JEELEN Jul 26, 2010, 02:00 PM Updated post #1 with v. 5.1.
SX Faceoff Oct 18, 2010, 08:28 AM I've downloaded this latest version and whole ingame main menu text was invisible. Blindly I've got game created and started the game anyway, but I've noticed, whole text that was visible was in french, the rest was invisible. By memory in main menu I found settings to change the language, but that place was also invisible not changable.. guess this game mod was created for french fans only??
Downloaded from link that was given in here : http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=15039
SX Faceoff Oct 18, 2010, 11:23 AM I guess I get it. My localization is in Russian language, but I changed it into English in game settings and while it's in English, it doesn't show the text in this mod, but when I turn it back into Russian, text deas apper! :)
JEELEN Oct 27, 2010, 08:50 AM Well, thatīs a bit... odd, but Iīm glad you figured it out. ;) Anyway, MOO2Civ supports English language only (as mentioned on the Download Page).
fulano Dec 06, 2010, 10:32 AM Version 5.1, that's pretty sweet!

Ya, we really need help with translations here. I've been changing everything to English as I worked on stuff, the other languages that were supported in Final Frontier never got changed as things were updated for MoO2Civ.
JEELEN Dec 13, 2010, 06:18 PM Version 5.1, that's pretty sweet!
