Here is the investigation thread for a citizen's complaint regarding civplayah

F. If the charge(s) are found to have "Merit", the Judge Advocate opens an Investigation thread detailing the alleged violation(s).

1. The first two replies to this thread are reserved for the Public Defender and the accused to respond publicly to the charge(s) (Defense). Either may post first, and both may say what they wish (within forum rules). If their replies/responses have not been posted within 24 hours of the thread's posting, they lose these reserved spots and anyone can post.

G. Citizens can post in this thread their opinions on the charge(s), whether they think the accused is guilty of the infraction or not, and if the case should go to Trial.

Hmm, this isn't going well.

Our Public Defender/Defendant team have not responded.

Is there no justice in this world? :shake:

Normally after the first 24 hours we continue on.

True. It used to be 48 hours, but that was changed to 24. Still there doesn't seem to be much interest in this investigation. Not even the prosecution is moving forward. I think we should just conclude that civplayah pleads guilty by his absence and sentance him to hear a yawn from anyone in this forum who hears or reads civplayah's name. That would be justice. Case closed?

Presumption of guilt? Conviction in absentia? Not very democratic. What is the nature of the complaint? It is stated that his violation is that of E.2. If I read the rules correctly, that is worker allocation and assignment. A trial is inappropriate, recall however is not. Failure to complete his tasks in a timely manner should be dealt with by the legislature, not the court, and is set out as such in the constitution. If the defendant is found guilty for something he did, or in this case did not do, what is the punishment to be dealt out? Will he be ostracized?

I move for acquittal and the immediate posting of a recall request.

Welcome back, montizzle. So good to hear from you.

Well said. You mirror my original thought. Can we hear from the Prosecution (Judge Advocate)?

So what's the fuss all about? The first post here doesn't even say what happened. If the prosecution isn't moving forward then the case should be dropped (without prejudice against the accused) and cleared from the court docket.

And then there's "you" back in the DemoGame, donsig. :)

Only 10 days after the thread was posted. Thank you for the comment.

The guidelines for a Citizen's Complaint are linked in the first post. This thread has been open to public comment for 8 days. Right now we are waiting for a post from our Judge Advocate.

Well, given that any likely outcome would have just been reelection of the president I think this case may be dismissed based simply on the upcoming elections.

Okay, sorry, I was away for a few days.
There isn't really any legitimate punishment because today is the last day of the term, if we manage to find him guilty, which is extremely difficult when neither the accused or the Public Defender are both absent.

Ok, case closed. civplayah is hereby banned to the pointless forest. ;)

Just kidding, civplayah. You can come back and run for President anytime.
