Okay, the UKNES6 will most likely have these features:

New combat system, details will be revealed closer to the game

Choose your country's government, and how good or corrupt a leader you will be

Appease the USA, which is a non player nation and the world's only superpower, and get votes in the UN to secure your future

Commit terrorist acts or defend against them, and even order assassinations and covert operations to hijack a new aeroplane or unit made by another nation

Trade resources that are required to build and maintain units, where "one" resource is actually the constant flow needed to maintain a unit that requires it. Without this resource, it can be useless or even die. But don't fear, you can design units that don't require these resources to run - but don't expect them to come cheap

Design new units, since you only begin with the basic militaries your nation has now(edited slightly to be roughly equal for all, just say China gets more not so good units while Germany gets less hi-tech units, and Britain gets more naval units and Russia gets more land units)

Units can be bought in regiments, brigades and divisions(or in the case of planes, flights, squadons and air groups), so you can create say your own armoured cavalry division by mixing and matching certain tanks and infantry, or just keep to the basic divisions etc. Also, this allows you to buy less of a unit if you can't afford a full division of it.

The USA may send in peacekeepers if your attacks aren't justified - so find a way to stop them doing so, either by appeasing them, giving them a good reason, or by threatening them!

Not so random events will happen lol, ones that I will probably script in a few turns before, and maybe give you hints to what is going to happen. But you may see Iraq invade Kuwait, or Argentina(if no player takes it) invade the Falklands!

The game will be a mix of the NES and the WarGame, you will have your own nation thread, but attacks must be PMed to me, and diplomacy done in the main thread. The USA will also have a thread

Anyone have other ideas? This game will be set in the modern times, and will probably be on the map I discovered, just with less seas.

Keep to the system of a central map instead of the wargame style. Also we should be able to "grow your own borders".

Appease the US? That sounds as if the US starts with an advantage... I agree that you should be able to grow your own borders.

uk, you gotta be more specific in you 'inovativeness'. right now it sounds like you making a game like any other NES but where some lucky player gets to run the world from the start cause they the US.

that 'choose regime and evil/good bias' just plain dont make sence. you have to explain it.

where do the units come from? you gonna make a list of 'usable' units?

mix and match? "just bunch all my forces together and have em attack country A".

you see where i'm heading with this? that first post should be 2 pages long atleast to explain the stuff you have thought up that i can think of, not 5 lines.

UK, also as a friendly warning:
your last 3 games have not gone past turn 12. thats a bad trend (even if 12 turns is almost a record on this forum. lol)

lol, I posted that in college when I finished some work too quickly, so I didn't have much time to go into detail lol.

Roddy, the UKNES3 was a big hit, despite not going past Turn 13 or 14.

UKNESs 4 and 5 I admit I didn't think out properly and that caused their downfall, which is why I will be planning this one very carefully.

And the USA is a moderator controlled nation.

UK, i dont like the whole, 'thread for every contry' thing. it works in horizons cause there its a forum for every game, but here it get VERY cluttered.

i would suggest having 1 thread with all the countires (you edit your post to change country stats) or maybe even put it into the 1st X posts of the single game thread (the post you sign up in is the post you edit your country into). the 'thread per nation" way is just SUCH A HUGE deathblow to the other NESs if you game is a success.
or get a mod to create a subforum for it ;)

lol, I do like the list in one thread idea...

I can't really ask for a sub forum, since a) it will mean the UKNES will be in it's own little forum, reducing the traffic(possibly) to the NES forum itself(like Stories has died since NESs got their own forum) and b) other NESs may be designed which need one, and then since he did it for one, Thunderfall will be forced to do it for more, and then it just gets crazy.

But I agree to the Nations Thread idea, where everybody will have a post with their country on. Once everyone has posted once in that thread to put their country in there, then people can begin to put new posts in it too with news etc on them, as they would if they had their own thread.

Also, I forgot to say something about the Covert Ops thing. You pay a daily budget into your Covert Ops bank, and spend it once a week(or bank it if you please). I will be the only person who will keep track of how much you have in your bank, so no one will know if you spent or banked your Covert Ops money, meaning that they can't tell who funded a terrorist action against them unless they put huge funds into finding out who did it.

The minimum Covert Ops budget will be 1 credit per day, and it must remain fixed for that entire week(you can only change your budget at the end of each week basically).

I like the Nation Thread idea...I have basically talked to nem about the uknes4 already, so dont have too many questions... Except that to tell everyone this game is going to be VERY realistic, meaning the invasion of nations.

If you will include the Kosovo or the Balkan crisis I want Macedonia(I like being underdog).
