Probably not. We are pretty much a domestic animals shop. However, I'll check and see if there's something we can do for you.

Livestock and pets have been added to the list.

@ Great Iguanaman - I was unable to find an iguana but I did come across 2 water dragons you could get for 25g.

Shaitan
Sep 21, 2002, 09:38 PM
We happen to have a litter that was just weaned. 2 calicos, an orange tiger, 2 grey with white boots and a black cat with a white star on the chest. Which do you prefer?

I need four guard dogs for the entrance to the Jedi Temple. One can't have barbarians wandering into there. Can I see your best guard dogs?

How 'bout a pet doughnut? :D

Shaitan
Sep 22, 2002, 04:56 AM
@Zarn - Here are our top dogs from the last training schedule. Alsatians are fierce and very protective as well as quite intelligent and obedient. Best of all, they bond quickly to their new master. Do these suit your fancy?

@Octavian - We do have a couple "wrinkle" dog puppies that look suspiciously like a cruller with legs when viewed at the right angle.

Zarn
Sep 22, 2002, 07:08 AM
Yes, they do. They don't seem to like Octavian, though. These are excellent dogs. *Hands over the money*

Zarn, best of luck with your dogs. The trainer has them ready for you and will go over their basic command set before you go.

Thank you ;)

BCLG100
Sep 23, 2002, 12:00 AM
so my tiger then?
do you have any?

Shaitan
Sep 23, 2002, 05:17 AM
@BCLG100 - Exotics are sometimes available on a special order basis. We can get a tiger for 1000g. We also have a lead on a white elephant for 1200g.

@jdd2007 - Yes, this is the official store that Equirias competes directly with. Equirias has better prices on the items that it carries but this shop carries a larger selection.

@SAAM - This is an official store so you can't use Spending Spree funds here. Do you still want the dachsund?

@jdd2007 - Animals R Us would be interested in purebred kittens.

We've got Ocelets for 300g. 2 left. They have the advantage of being fairly trainable and can be kept (relatively) safely indoors. We'd like to keep them together so if you want both we'll sell them to you for 450g

BCLG100
Sep 23, 2002, 11:54 AM
what are ocelets?
do you have any baby tigers they would be cheaper right? also not sure about the ocelets dont know how much money i have in my bank account

You have 1780g in your account right now.

Ocelets are regal hunting cats about 24 inches at the shoulder (picture below). They are trained to hunt and bring back their kills. When trained correctly (and our are) they are almost as safe as a house cat. Like all tamed wild cats they will quickly revert to a feral state if left alone for long periods of time or released to the wild for any appreciable amount of time.

BCLG100
Sep 23, 2002, 12:23 PM
do i cool okay then ill take them two then 450 gold right?

also anything paricullar they need to eat?

BCLG100
Sep 23, 2002, 12:26 PM
also can i have 3 songbirds the finest possible?

Shaitan
Sep 23, 2002, 12:32 PM
Okay, here they are. It's the best 450g you'll ever spend. The trainer will accompany you for the first 2 days to get them used to your voice and smell and make sure they transfer their obedience to you.

They will require several pounds of red meat each day, per cat. They also need a good amount of exercise. The trainer will show you how to hunt them. If you hunt them every day, that will provide some of their diet and all of their necessary exercise.

One last note, once the trainer leaves you will have a rough couple of days when they will try to rebel. Do not hunt them during this time - feed them yourself by hand (carry a big stick in the other hand and don't be afraid to use it if necessary). When they begin showing obvious affection to you with or without food you have won them over and may then hunt them.

Incidentally, this is a mating pair, which is why we wanted them kept together. If you successfully breed them we will purchase the kittens for 25g each.

Absolutely. We'll even throw in a fine wicker cage.

BCLG100
Sep 23, 2002, 12:43 PM
25gold?
when i bough them for 450 uhm yeh sure ;)
okay so that would be 60 gold then?

Shaitan
Sep 23, 2002, 12:46 PM
Yes, 60g for the birds.

The bulk of the cost for the ocelots is the huge amount of training time they require. There's also a fairly high death rate in the kittens. That's why we can only pay 25g per kitten.

BCLG100
Sep 23, 2002, 12:53 PM
okay but occelets can have big litters right?
also might wanna keep them incase any body gets in a mood with some of my decisions then i can go "hunting"

Shaitan
Sep 23, 2002, 12:58 PM
In the wild they will have fairly large litters. In captivity you can expect 2 to 4 kittens per litter. The kittens must be removed as soon as they are born and fostered on a domestic cat. The parents will kill them if they are not taken away.

BCLG100
Sep 23, 2002, 01:00 PM
oh well they can return to their parents to hunt in groups right?

Shaitan
Sep 23, 2002, 01:05 PM
They don't hunt in groups but yes, they can eventually be returned to a community environment with the parents. At around 4-5 months they will no longer be in danger from the parents. Just be sure to reintroduce them slowly and you shouldn't have any problems.

Shaitan
Sep 23, 2002, 01:07 PM
I am purchasing 10 hunting dogs and 5 foxes. At 50g each that is 750g.

You got em. Weaned pups with basic obedience training. Don't leave them with the ocelots. While they are young the ocelots may attack them. When they get more mature they will stress the ocelots. If you get kittens you can keep them with the dogs right from the start. There is a good chance they will bond and be able to cohabitate for their entire lives.

Sep 23, 2002, 01:35 PM

@SAAM - 2 wiener dogs. Here you go.

@Strider - We don't have any wolves but you might be able to catch one at the Great Hunt. A pack was recently driven from the cattle herds near Marillion.

@Great Iguanaman - I'll happily take your money here but you can save 10% if you get your horse over at Equirias. Let me know if you still want it from the Animals "R" Us stock.

@jdd2007 - 4 hunting dogs it is. You'll find them very well trained. I bought my own dogs here.

I would like a nice breeding pair of Basset Hounds. Preferably tri-color, but liver-and-white would also do as well.

They are excellent for hunting small game, including foxes, and their clear, bell-like call is audible over quite a distance during a hunt. :D

Shaitan
Sep 24, 2002, 10:52 AM
@Padma - Two hunting dogs, Basset Hound variety, 100g. Here you are, my good sir. One tri-color, one liver/white. The female is through her first heat and unbred.

Clarification - the 100g was for BCLG100's penguins. You posted the parrot question as I was replying to him. Actually, 100g for a parrot is reasonable. They are exotic creatures (until we have some jungle in our borders).

We haven't been able to get a polar bear.

Shaitan
Sep 27, 2002, 07:09 AM

I would like to buy two falcons, a hawk and a hound.

I would like one of the falcons to be a female, jet black (if possible)
I would like the other falcon to be a rusty reddish-brown male (if possible)
And I would like a white hawk, female if possible.
I would like the dog to be dark brown to black, if possible, a male preferrably.

I see you raised the prices, Shaitan... :) That's 475g, here you are.

We had to do something, Zarn. The poor beasts had been abandoned for months and were starving to death.

One would naturally think the Jedi would have feed them, but one cannot change the past. I should put a sign up in the Temple so new dogs would be fed.

Are you back in the chair here, then? Distributions are easier than ever. 20% paid to the CEO, the rest is deposited in the ARU account.
