Which Technology should we research next?

Like I've said 100 times I support researching Alpabet. We need to try too get lituture as soon as possible. Libries early in the game will give us great benefits. The libriary being the main culture & science improvement (The most important improvment in the game) must be aquired sooner then the AI's.

I think that we need to get mysticism. It will help us get to monarchy wich we deserately need. While alfabeto is a good choice, mysticism is better.

oh yea, sorry. there have just been so many bad polls posted it gets confusing. Also, i just wanted to make sure so that we can refrain from the arguement that took place in our last TC.

1. The path to monarcy has nothing, but that goverment & the oracle. It's alot of researching time with very little benefits.

2. Are tech rate will be low almost the whole game. We need libries to keep up with the AI.

3. The path to lituture is also the path to "The Republic" which is a much better goverment than monarcy.

Strider my good man it is very difficult to vote in this poll. We can trade iron working for some of these techs. If we get alphabet via trade do you really want to research mysticism next? Or would you rather go for writing? Personally, I'd rather trade for mysticism and start working on polytheism or what ever is next towards monarchy. The FSND should not be just about what to research next. Get involved in the trade for techs thing. That's a trade and FA and FSND thing. I think we have to decide what to get on the open market before we decide what to research.

I'd rather go for writing. If we play our cards right, we can get the GL, and let the AI research for us.

i have current juristiction over this. if a tie is not settled by the tc, i get to decide.

Why don't you give me a break? We've been arguing over which way to go up the tech tree and rather than put the question before the citizens once and for all we have poll after poll that doesn't get us anywhere. While the arguement rages we're not even using our heads here! We can pick up both alphabet and mysticism via trade this turn chat. Rather than argueing over which of these to research we should once and for all determine which path we're going to take and do it!

donsig- how about this. we trade for both, and research writing.
after writing, we go to literature and the gl. then we hit monarchy.

however, this is only if its a tie.

Well, I spoke too soon - we can't trade for both alphabet and mysticism right now. England is the only civ that knows both of them and we do not have enough to offer for both. Also, FA has posted a poll on whether to trade iron working to England. (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32388) The poll has reached quorum and the overwhelming winner is to trade iron working for masonry and the wheel. Unfortunately, there are many deals that the FA poll ignores.

Donsig like I've said before... I WILL NOT take the risk of thinking that we cann aquire a certain technology. I have been looking at the possible trades and they don't look very good to me.

I said your incharge till monday.... If I lose this coming election (which I most likely will) or don't run at all I want to leave somebody who knows what their doing.
