I'm trying to make a leaderhead for Maria Theresia in Animation Shop Pro. However, I have a problem: it is highly frustrating making one here: first of all, the background I chose for the Ancient Age doesn't seem to be too small, even though the size of the picture is 202x243 and the size of the frame is 200x240. Also, it is virtually impossible to make a leaderhead without a model! Can anyone upload a human model that's an old, Caucasian woman, or at least post a link that's to a good lesson on how to draw faces?

It's not that we're unwilling to help; it's that you're (IMHO) going down a rocky road when you are wanting to use animationshop pro to create leaderheads. It's ok if you want a static image and have a photo to use, but if you're trying to create anything....well, it's a lot of sweat and tears only to see an inconsistent-looking effort at the end of it.

Honestly, I've been down that road before.

Animationshop pro isn't a program where you can build a model within the program. You'd need something like poser for that. I use poser 5 (which is three versions ago) and it is a really good version that you may be able to pick up cheaply. It was given away free about three years ago for a brief period.

I realise you might not wish to pay out for software and I respect that; however, if you only want to use animationshop pro, then don't expect fantastic results; creating new leaderheads is not what it's intended for.

Here's an idea though which might get you started. Go to www.daz3d.com. Here, you can download daz studio for free; you can at least create a static leaderhead with this program. There's some other free stuff you can download from the site, including Victoria 4, which you can then use as your base model. I'm not a daz studio user, so I can't advise whether or not you'd be able to create animations easily; however, what you should be able to do at least is create a static leaderhead in a Civ III style, which you can use animationshop pro to turn into .flc format.

Perhaps other forum members who have had experience with daz studio could comment on it's suitability for Farsight and whether or not animated leaderheads could be created using it?
