Venice's unique geographical position enabled it to survive well over a millenium without foreign troops reaching the central islands. This scenario recreates one of the Republic's closest calls -- a 14th century invasion attempt by archrival Genoa.

This scenario could clearly use a proper Scenario Editor like Civ2, but it's still fun.
See the included readme for important notes and rule changes.

No (if I'm reading your note right), just a traveller that reads too many history books and likes writing scenarios with islands...
Still fascinated by any country that manages to survive 1000+ years sandwiched in the chaos of medieval Europe and Asia, become fabulously wealthy (at least most of the time), and somehow remain politically stable...

I enjoyed playing this :) Great job, CIV3 needs more mods like this one... More focused in time and place.

Cool, I want to live in Venice some day. Why are so many islands uninhabited? (In this scenario)

Allright, I played as Genoa. Is it tough! I think you should beef up the knight because it is getting slaughttered by the musketman. Ill play as venice and try this again.
