I have Windows 2000 Intel Pentium III (2 cpus), 450MHz, 256MB RAM and Evans and Sutherland AccelGalaxy video card.

I play the game (v1.07) but it runs with an small pause every second and the game in general is on slow-motion.

Aparently my PC's video card it's not compatible with DirectDraw.

Can this be fix?

Well, the first thing you should do is upgrade your Civ3 to the latest version, 1.29.

Get the patch at:

Then you could try turning off unit animations....

I've had my game run in "slow motion" only at the end of the turn - which is an understatement, since it would take two hours sometimes. This was during GOTM6 (with the 1.16 patch, I think). I had to end that game because of it. Try another game. Sometimes, one game just doesn't like your computer...

The problem is my AccelGalaxy...

It is and excelent card for 3d animations (it's meant for presentations) but it conflicts with DirectDraw (from the Directx), a must for games.

It's the only game working in this PC, and it's in slow motion.

I need a new card or a way to get this thing to work!

My other PC died yesterday!

Have you tried to get updated DirectX compatible drivers from the manufacturer? The reason that it's running so slow is because the graphic's system is dropping down to software emulation mode instead of using the hardware on your card.
