xgmx Jul 09, 2009, 10:49 AM SWAT 3
I was playing online (it was a coop game) and we were pinned down by the suspects. Me and several other members of my team took cover behind a bar counter and we exchanged shots with the (30) suspects (who were fortifying a DJ tower). Eventually me and three other members of my team ran towards this wall in an attempt to slowly gain ground on the terrorists and take them out (and get into a better firing position that also gave us more cover). However, only three of us made it, one of the guys was gunned down right in front of me. So the three of us came up with a plan to charge towards another position and lay down fire there. The first guy went and was gunned down, so then the second guy went and was also gunned down. It was my turn, however, I stayed there (somewhat frozen with fear). Eventually the rest of my team who stayed behind the bar counter died and so I was the only one left. I had to neutralize 30 suspects (the rest of my team didn't kill any), so I ran straight towards them. As I ran forward I quickly took down several suspects, then I turned the corner and swept my gun to the side, killing even more suspects. Then I aimed up and riddled the suspects in the DJ tower with bullets by shooting through the open door. I had single handedly taken out all the suspects in less than a minute seconds. The bad part is, my team didn't like how I killed all of them, after the game they said "You should have arrested them, not killed them.". Be that as it may, they were not complying with our team's demands to surrender, so I had no choice but to use lethal force. That was the most epic moment in video game history for me.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Rogue Spear
I was inside of a building (a hallway inside of a building, to be exact) and so I played a C4 charge in front of a door (to blow it open), I then turned around and bent down to place another C4 charge on the door directly opposite of the door I placed the other one by. However, about half way through planting the C4 charge on the door on the other side of the hallway when the other one blew up. I was right next to it to so I flew forward my now dead body hit the door I was planting the second C4 charge by. I then flew through the door, therefore destroy the door as well as a terrorist who was inside of the room. It was quite epic.
Team Fortress Classic
I was playing Team Fortress Classic on a LAN with my friend Brandon Burke at my house. I was playing as an engineer and he was a spy. I was outside (near a tunnel) and he was in a tower. We exchange gunfire for a little bit, then he stopped shooting, so I also stopped shooting. I realized he was going to go down to the ground, so I went in the tunnel and built a sentry turret right inside the tunnel, next to the entrance, so it would kill him the second he enters the tunnel. I then heard it shoot and I was certain I had killed him (since it said he died and I heard him die, I was on the other side of the tunnel when he "died"). I then messaged him saying "That was a trap.", then I ran back inside the tunnel and saw his dead body. I then turned around to leave the tunnel and when I did he stood up and fired, killing me instantly. It turns out he used one fo the spy's specials, feign death. He then sent me a message saying "So was that.".
Geist
I was playing Geist on my GameCube while talking to my friend Matt Beumer on MSN Messenger. It was a deathmatch and I was playing against bots. There were like 5 of the enemies in this one area shooting each other, and I was a ghost, so I possessed an explosives crate taht was in the middle of the exchange. I then detonated it, killing all 5 assailants.
G-NOME
It was July 11, 2009 and I was playing G-NOME against my uncle (Jonathan McDonald, Prime Minister of Jonathanland) at my house. It was his first time playing the game in a long time ([if ever]he is the one who convinced me to buy the game, after he let me borrow his copy and I enjoyed it [in fact, I beat the game's single player campaign]). Well this was my first time playing the game against someone else on multiplayer (I played against bots a few times before, but never faced a human opponent until then). I had managed to get my uncle killed 9 times (we were playing to 10 kills) and he only killed me about 3 times. He was on an island, and I was on a different island. My uncle had raised the bridge connecting our two islands and the bridge control building was on his side, so I decided to launch a manually controlled missile at my uncle (who was not in a vehicle, while I was). He was really far away, but I manuevered my rocket in first person mode and flew it right into him as he was running. I can only imagine the surprise he must have felt when he saw a missile swirving in the air in a very strange and erratic way towards him (instead of the normal straight line or curve that normal and homing missiles and rockets have).
GoodGame Jul 09, 2009, 12:45 PM TF2: Sniping a sentry tower sniper with flare pistol (as Pyro o'course). Map was Egypt.
Joint Operations: International Conflict mod : Setting up defensive perimeters with like 30 squaddies in a jungle village, under sniper and mortar fire.

On one of the staircases in that Tenement Russian Arms Smuggling & Undercover Detective Mission, ONE guy with a MAC-10 killed all 4 of my teammates, because they rushed up the stairs in a straight line. I killed that guy, and all their bodies were piled up on top of eachother at the bottom of the steps. I was reporting in their deaths, and got shot in the back of the head by ANOTHER suspect with a MAC-10, and my body rolled down to join my fallen comrades. Mission Over.
Another brilliant move for the AI is throwing grenades at their feet when clearing a room. A particularly stupid moment was when I accidentally told them to clear a room twice, once with a flashbang, the other with a sting grenade. Epic failure when I discovered 3 suspects were in the room with assault rifles, and that I was blinded and dizzy from both grenades. When I could finally see, I was alive, with 3 guys dead on the floor, 2 SWAT members and one suspect. I killed another suspect, and my remaining squad members TK'd me. Brilliant AI.
cardgame Jul 09, 2009, 09:19 PM Battlefield Vietnam, SAIGON, sniping 25 enemies in their silly palace while sustaining no deaths :mischief:
There was also a time or two on Flaming Dart where I'd have an RPG as a Vietnamese... I parachuted out of my plane by the boat docks and grabbed the MUTT there, drove it up to the stand of trees closest to the runway and blew up 3 Phantoms trying to take off. Then I got out of the MUTT because they clearly knew about me and i was gonna get sniped or something, and I walked around to the sandbags on the West side of the island so where I could see the tops of the planes as they spawned again, but not any infantry. As soon as the plane spawned and someone got inside I blew it up. Another 4 Phantom kills :goodjob:
Then a chopper killed me :(
Oh, one more; Cambodian Incursion or Ho Chi Minh Trail, whichever one starts with Vietnam having one spot north of the bridge...
I planted 10 C4 charges everywhere around the first base. As soon as it was overrun I blew them all, killing about 5 people :goodjob: :D :king:
All these are Multiplayer matches of course. Nothing epic about the bots in BF...
terjelin Jul 10, 2009, 08:44 AM Not on a PC, and not done by me, but still one epic moment (and I was in the game to witness it).
Axis and Allies, the boardgame: I was playing the Axis against two friends of which the US player had never played the game before. Before I continue I need to describe this newbie player. He is highly intelligent, been on the national team in maths and physics several years, at age 17 he finished 2nd in maths and 3rd in physics in the olympics. All A's in college.
Anyway, the US is building up its forces, and the player (bah do not wanna keep typing "player" anymore, lets call him John) takes notes of everything that happens.
The Axis is gaing more and more ground as the US still sits in the US East Coast building its forces. John takes more and more notes, and then exclaims: "NOW I'm ready to strike". John then loads up his troops on his transports and heads out to try to invade.....ENGLAND!!
Made the other two of us laugh, and then we had to explain that it was the Axis vs the Allies.
Munch Jul 10, 2009, 10:12 AM CoD4: 'Hardcore' Search and Destroy on Countdown, our team is defending. I run to one of the two bombsites (the one to the right of the defenders' spawn) and very quickly all my team are killed leaving just me against six enemies. They get a UAV online but luckily I selected my UAV jammer class, with silenced scorpion as main weapon.
Frantically I alternate leaning out of the two entrances to the hangar, and after a few peeks spot a guy re-tracing my path from the spawn to my current location, and I plug him before he sees me. Unfortunately that guy was also the bomb carrier, so everyone on their team knows exactly where he died, and they need to recover the bomb to win. One guy comes in through the other entrance almost immediately but I gun him down, followed by a third. Running out of ammo now but those three kills unlock my UAV, and I can see the three remaining enemies on my radar.
One radar blip shows a guy a few metres in front of me but I can't see him. His head pops up over a silo door and after a brief firefight he is killed. I don't have any ammo left though and switch to my side arm as the fifth guy comes into the hangar, assault rifle blazing. Somehow I take him down with a silenced pistol. I peek out to where the first dead enemy dropped the bomb and it isn't there - the last enemy must have picked it up. The radar confirms this as he is running to the second bomb site. Those five kills though unlocked my airstrike and I levelled the centre of the map to win a stressful victory.

That is epic! Reminds me of that one dome building in SWAT 3 with the escalators.
Volum Jul 10, 2009, 05:25 PM Operation Flashpoint:
My friend i was playing coop, it was only us TWO. I always loved being the "anti tank guy" so i had with me a LAW. We where moving down a hill towards a village when we spot a Russian T-72 in the village below us. I take aim with my LAW and manage to hit the tank, i start reloading for the second shot and the kill. Just then we spot a BMP rushing up the hill right towards us, its a mystery how we didnt see it before. Anyways it drives up and parks it self right infront of us. It then turns it turret towards us and I'm expecting the killing blow anytime now. I hear a bang and figure that's it. But then i realize, were both still alive. And the BMP is a smoking wreck. The T-72 in the village had killed its own BMP trying to hit us, just as the BMP was about to kill us! I got my LAW ready again and i knocked out the T-72 before it could reload.
Its by far my most epic and memorable gaming moment.
mythmonster2 Jul 10, 2009, 10:53 PM I don't remember the specific game, but it was a FPS, I think one of the Medal of Honor games and it was with a bunch of my friends. At the end, when it displayed stats, my percentage of shots to the groin out of all hits? 100%. Many men's genetic legacies ended that day.
carmen510 Jul 11, 2009, 05:17 PM Battlefield Vietnam's AI is actually epic, if you include the category of "Epic Fail".
So I was on the Reclaiming of Hue map (The one where the Vietcong control the entire map and the South Vietnamese invade via the bridge), and sniping those stupid AI bots that stand around. Then, through my scope, I see my fellow comrades trying to throw grenades at enemy jeeps and APCs, and blowing themselves up in the process. An enemy tank comes along, and they think its smart to stand in front of it like its Tienanmen Square. 8 soldiers get run over in a row. I get killed by a tank burst, and respawn with an RPG. Stupid morons decide to cluster in the middle of road, blocking my shot. I see a jeep run over another 3 Vietcong, before I finally kill the tank. Then Vietcong decide to run me over with a motorbike. :(
CivGeneral Jul 11, 2009, 08:40 PM Team Fortress 2:
I was playing on the part on Dustbowl (Where the last control point is the one under the rocket) as a spy. Twice I broke my backstab record that night. First I broke my 8 backstabs and made 9, then broke that record to and made 10 backstabs in one life!.
carmen510 Jul 11, 2009, 08:54 PM My record is 68 Backstabs in one life, or something like that.
Team was retarded and I hung around their base in 2fort. I only died when they decided to go pyro.
cardgame Jul 12, 2009, 01:25 AM Battlefield Vietnam's AI is actually epic, if you include the category of "Epic Fail".
RAmen...
Playing earlier tonight on Quang Tri and my tanks would stand there and get pummeled by the US's pattons, and as soon as I went into view of the Patton it would kill me instead of the T54 tank which is still in front of it...
Also, the people who stay in their jeeps and don't do anything.
Reclaiming Hue as a Vietnamese guy, I'm on top of the fortress by the bridge and occasionally these jeeps will come up the ramp to try and capture the flag. They didn't do anything so all I had to do was RPG them and they all died
Chieftess Jul 12, 2009, 01:31 PM I don't play too many online action/shooters, but this is an old one from Civ1. :)
I was playing as Babylon against the AI French, and had this squarish continent with a bottleneck at the top-left. Well, France I think was gearing up for war (or had declared war), and we were lining up cannons and muskets all along the northern coast about 2 tiles in (maganot line, perhaps?). About a half dozen tiles from the west coast, I finally got the upper hand when I had produced a few more cannons and muskets than the French, and wound up out-flanking the French. :)
I had a similar one in Civ3 (a succession game) when it was my turn to play the 10 or 20 turns, but it was a violent (either knight vs. mounted warrior or cavalry vs. cavalry) skirmish all along the northern border travelling down from east to west on each turn.
Captain2 Jul 12, 2009, 08:11 PM Playing Resident Evil 5 on Co-op with my friend Steve was pretty epic, I'll give one of several moments I thought were pretty awesome
Steve: Ah hell
*we look down a hallway to see several skinned wolverine things crawling on the walls (We didn't know the proper terms for them but we later found them out to be a type of licker)*
Me: I have.... Ten bullets
Steve: Dammit, I have 30 but these guys look pretty tough
Me: Well they're blind right? wait until they get on the celing and walk quietly underneath, its bound to work
Steve: Great Idea, lets go
*Creature drops onto Steve once he's underneath it*
Steve: THIS WAS A HORRIBLE IDEA!
Kan' Sharuminar Jul 12, 2009, 08:40 PM I think I've mentioned it before:
Very late-night session of multiplayer Civ2 with my friend. It was a standard Earth map, and we had spent the bulk of the game claiming the entire Eurasian continent to ourselves. All that was left was the American continents, containing the last two or three AI enemies in the game.
It was to be a joint venture - he was to concentrate on the heavily guarded east-coast, all I had to do was launch smaller raids along the western side, with minimal forces. As such, I had plenty of leeway to create a magnificent force to combat the enemy.
That enemy was my friend.
The first nuke smashed into his "museum ship." He had declared some small caravel to be the decisive winner of some ancient war, and planted it in the Mediterranean. It's destruction led to a lazy 4am IM of "Kan, I think you hit the wrong target." Delighted, I hit every one of his major cities with additional nukes until he realised I was not kidding. For the better part of an hour he struggled to keep up with my onslaught until, exhausted at 5am, he surrendered.
He's forgiven me for the betrayal except for one small part - never mention the destruction of his museum ship unless you want a less than civil response.

Captain2 Jul 13, 2009, 02:39 AM That reminded me of a game of Risk with a few friends of mine, we were playing capitals (meaning if you take the enemy capital the entire country is destroyed) and I was helping my best friend in a war against his sister and his girlfriend when he suddenly turned on me and surrounded my capital of Central Europe entirely but being the cocky bugger he is he refused to capture it and end my misery.
I still had one province besides my utterly besiged capital and I used this to my advantage when I traded in my cards for enough soldiers to hit him from Alaska to Kamchatka. Pure luck and his belief that he had defeated me allowed me to push from that one province into his capital, China, and defeat him entirely.
The thing that reminded me of it is that he tends to cuff me whenever I gloat about it

12v12 beach map. Axis medic.
Allies had breached the sea, wall, overrun all the axis in the objective room with everyone dead save myself. With the time match ending the respawn time was long and the allies instead of grabing the code and completeing the match instead stood around healing and re-munitioing each other.
Up I spring with my medikit, rushing out of a corner I run pass two allied players and start reviving my team mates, in quick order a huge firefights, As axis are gunned down i keep reviving them until all the axis are alive and all the allies have died. Its a huge reversal as the allies had the match in the bag at that stage.
Taniciusfox Jul 13, 2009, 11:00 PM Red Alert 2:
It was an 8-player match. We were playing on the Arctic circle stage. 2 teams of 4 players, each side occupied one half of the map.
One of my allies had his base destroyed early on, and later in the game, he sent an engineer to claim an enemy construction yard that was unguarded. I and my allies protected the engineer's butt as it headed for the construction yard...
...Then I hit Ctrl, my cursor turned red, and my units gunned his engineer down, kicking him out of the game. I used my own engineers to possess the ConYard and bring it back to my base, mixing the techs of both factions.
Needless to say, that "ally" wasn't pleased. My other two allies enjoyed the sudden pragmatism on my part, of course.
Bratmon Jul 15, 2009, 06:05 PM Risk
The fate of the entire world came literally down to 1 dice roll...
We were playing the new version, where you can win by getting 3 objectives. I was way out of the running because I was rolling terribly on turn 1. Anyway, if you completely destroy an opponent, you get all of it's objectives.
Yellow was in a sorry state: even though it had 2 objectives and a huge bank of cards, it only had three lightly guarded territories left. If it could survive one more turn, it could win the game. It knew what it needed to do and could do it.
Meanwhile, red was a superpower. It had at least 1/3 of the world in its grasp. It had 2 objectives, but no way to get another one. On its last turn, it marched throughout the world, trashing yellow. Yellow now only had 2 territories left, both lightly guarded. But, for red to get through, it had to go through me.
This was the epic battle. Red had to destroy me to go on and win. The match up was 15 (them) to 7 (me). It dawned on me that if I win, yellow wins, if I lose, red wins. I got to rolling. in a very drawn out battle, I lost. Red made it through and won.
SS-18 ICBM Jul 15, 2009, 07:36 PM Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Xbox Live online match, map was CQB (I think), and game mode was Demolition. Went on a rampage with the Tactical 500 shotgun, blasting away about a dozen guys who tried to come in through the two doorways and defuse the bomb.

4v4 Map
I start with the usual gambit. Only to find the allies already have control of the strategic right building. Luckly my build order already is producing a counter the sniper unit comes out and forces the allies to reliquish control. With HeavyMG and sniper combo early on we regain control.
I notice my team mates in the middle are really getting hammered. Allies are pushing down the middle hard. I send my sniper to help, hes long range fire power is having the effect. PE player infantry heavy fire fight is helping too screen him, but he falls back heavily out numbered. The british advance but it is too late as my Heavy MG is placed just in time the advancing Brits are supressed. They manage to snipe on of my MG team but i concentrate on the scouts and wipe them all out. Holding the mid and right side now Bitish tried several times to build up defences even getting there Mobile HQ down and reinforceing. Its not enough my engineers buy flamethrowers
PE player is now back. I use my engineers as bait to cap a point sure enough the both british players respond to an easy kill and I lure them back into MG and sniper again. PE takes advange and flanks them in a cross fire.
We push up through the middle. I tech up to tier two units, out comes a mortar team. I rushed straight to the bridge. the house defending it is emty I occupie it with my HMG there, Mortar team set up now able to rain down bombs on both the footbridge and main bridge. Sniper having survived and racked up a high kill count is a deadly threat. the Allies are botted up With no terrortory control.
They throw in the towel
7minutes was all it took.

Darth_Pugwash Jul 21, 2009, 03:50 PM More a lucky moment than an epic one, but playing TF2 once I solo-capped a point with a little help from a crit rocket that took out three defenders in one hit, with about ten seconds left on the clock. :D
Azale Jul 21, 2009, 10:20 PM OK ok ok so let's set up the scene.
Madden 2006, Superbowl XL
I am playing as the Redskins and my opponent is New England. Up until this point I had really hit a groove with the Skins and I would just run roughshod over my opponents. In the playoffs I dominated Seattle by 30 points and broke the single game rushing record against Minnesota in the NFC Championship Game.
So I was confident. LITTLE DID I KNOW that New England was not going to make a single bleeding mistake. I kept the lead throughout most of the game though, until a crazy catch by Deion Branch gave New England the lead with somewhere around :30 left. I thought, "ok I can still pull this off" but man I was sweating. A choke is a choke, virtual or not.
My offense sputtered however. The first three downs were incomplete, incomplete, incomplete. Campbell and the boys had only 1 more chance. From my own 30ish yard line I hiked, and Campbell scrambled around...looking for anything. None of my freaking receivers (Moss, Randle El, Lloyd) decided a fly route would be a good idea on the last play so they all came back to the ball. Out of desperation I threw it to the left side and it was...incomplete...
Oh god, I lost. I was invincible. I bet I was on all the virtual covers of SI and whatnot. What happened? BUT WAIT! THERE IS A FLAG ON THE FIELD! The call? FREAKING PASS INTERFERENCE!
You know, I had not had a single pass interference called the entire season. That is alot of plays. This is Madden 2006, penalties just were not simulated much. And here it was, a gift. All I had to do was nail the 46 yard field goal.
WHICH I DID. I then proceeded to march the ball down the field, kick another field goal and win the forsaken thing. Suck it Bellichick.
Also, there were a few bosses from Dragon Warrior 7 that required an hour and constant planning to defeat. Stress filled times those were, those boring summers between grades in junior high.
Darth_Pugwash Aug 09, 2009, 07:02 PM Epic Fortress 2!
Playing TF2 earlier tonight on Dustbowl, and my team is absolutely rolling the opposition. As BLU on the offense it takes us about ten minutes to reach stage three and capture the fifth point, leaving us twenty minutes to take the final point.
But, the last point being relatively easy to defend, the attack loses momentum and for nineteen minutes it seems like team BLU is banging its head against a brick wall. Ubers go in and take out sentry here and a sentry there, but it's never enough to threaten the point. The battle grinds on and with a minute to go it looks like the REDs are going to pull off the defense.
BUT! The tide of the battle shifts in favour of the attackers, and in the last sixty seconds, with no sentries covering the point, it's suddenly apparent that the BLUs have a chance of snatching the victory. The game becomes a glorious last-ditch scramble as players on both sides throw themselves desperately onto the point.
As a Pyro I charge in, but am killed by a demoman. I respawn, and rush for the teleporter outside the spawn room.
With twenty seconds to go I charge into the melee again and let loose with the flamethrower - somehow the chaos subsides, leaving me and a friendly BLU Engineer standing on the point. Respawned REDs rush out of their spawn rooms towards us but it's too late! Me and my Engineer buddy cap the point with less than twelve seconds left to play, and the BLUs win!
One of the best endings to a match I've played. :D
As a bonus Kan dropped into the game for a while and I managed to get a domination on him, but he got revenge about a minute later, alas.

Getting 997 points on a 24/7 2fort server by playing spy, sniper, and medic with some camping outside enemy base as engineer.
No screenshot due to the server restarting.
tycoonist Aug 09, 2009, 08:04 PM a TF2 moment here:
i was playing as a soldier on 2fort on blu, and managed to rocket jump my way all the way to the enemy intel. i charged out of the main doors, but was forced into the water by multiple enemies. no problem i thought, i'll just take it through our sewers. but as i entered the sewers, i was instantly slayed. unbeknown to me, the enemy had constructed a minor city down there, and there was no way we were gonna destroy it in a minute. so it looked like i wouldn't get the capture despite all my hard work.
but i hatched a cunning plan. first i switched to scout, an equipped the bonk atomic punch. nimbly, i ran past there defenses. i managed to pick up the intel for long enough to get it out of the sewers and back into the main body of water. i then switched back to a soldier. i jumped in, killed a pyro in the water and grabbed the intel. i then swam to one of the corners of the water, and to the shock of the opposing team, i rocket jumped out. i then charged home to a massive standing ovation (ok, that bits a lie).
it led to us winning the game 3-2, and was the vital last capture. although nothing i did was particularly special, it was a really good, satisfying moment cause i had managed to outwit a seemingly impassable object.
Squarg Aug 10, 2009, 06:20 PM Mine was more of an Epic Fail.
COD 4
I was playing mile high club on veteran and after 3 HOURS of trying, I finally get to the hostage. I whip out my pistol, take aim and fire... at his leg. I was confident that this would free the hostage as it did on lower difficulties but NOOOOO Veterans go for headshots not flesh wounds. I want to punch that programmer in the face.

Not as easy as it sounds, because it jerks when their bullets hit you. And you can die pretty extremely quickly.

All enemy points captured. Ten tickets for us and twenty two for them. One of our bases goes white. Randomly chuck grenade at point. Kill. Match win.
Kan' Sharuminar Aug 11, 2009, 04:53 PM As a bonus Kan dropped into the game for a while and I managed to get a domination on him, but he got revenge about a minute later, alas.
It was a good mix of players, and a glorious battle! I would have stayed longer but the game froze and my place on the server was quickly taken.

Chieftess Aug 11, 2009, 07:57 PM I was playing Oblivion the other day and decided to see if my level 2 character stood a chance against Umbra. So, I decided to do a sneak attack to strike first. After initially also losing (down to maybe 1hp), I managed to run and heal myself. Then, I got the idea to try and lure Umbra to the drop-floor at the beginning of the ruins, which partially worked. Then I headed outside to see if Umbra would follow. I went about 100 feet, turned around to see if she was following, and as soon as I get close to the door, she comes out bolting. I'm thinking, " RUN!!!". So, then I decide to lure her to the waterfront. What insued was some fancy footwork and evasive swimming, as my speed was roughly the same as Umbra. Well, I get to the waterfront, and past a gaurd hoping he'd attack Umbra. To my dismay - I had apparently forgotten about Umbra being a non-hostile character and had a 40 gold bounty - the gaurd decides to foil my plan!!!!
Genocidicbunny Aug 24, 2009, 06:32 AM Oh gods, this was ages ago, but still one of my best moments ingame. This was way back in the days of BF1942 (remember that game? Yeah, that one.)
I managed to be the only one decent enough to fly the plane and actually shoot down something. Now, while im flying about and dropping bombs, inaccurately, the opposing team is putting up a good defense for their last point. Time is starting to run out and our team is getting more and more desperate -- they throw themselves at the enemy tanks and flak positions but to no avail. One of the enemy guys manages to sneak into our airport and grabs a newly respawned plane.
He then proceeds to chase me around the map a few times, with both of us getting off enough shots to severely damage each other. I manage to get him first and he jumps out. At the same moment, I get hit by a flak and am forced to abandon my winged steed as well. As Im falling through the air, I notice that I am right behind the other guy, and he doesnt see me. I proceed to knife him in the back and a knife fight ensues on the way down. Finally, I shank his rear end into the next round. For some reason, I pressed e right then, and to my surprise I found myself in his plane ( game had some weird entry boxes for the vehicles ). I desperately grab my joystick to pull the plane up, and in the confusion I hit the secondary trigger, releasing a bomb. Boom, 3 kills. Realizing that its futile I jump out right over a tank and manage to enter it in the nick of time -- the plane crashes in front of me -- one more kill.
My old plane at this point comes down on an enemy flak battery -- 2 more kills, the gunner and the guy hiding behind the sandbags. I proceed to turn my tank right around and fire a couple shots up the defending tank's tailpipe -- another kill, and then two more from the guys hiding around him. At this point my team is pushing as hard as they can, and with the offending tank and flak battery gone, they manage to get the breakthrough they need. I turn around and push forward as well, but a lucky enemy engineer sets up a mine right in front of me, and I find myself flying sky high.
The enemy pilot got his revenge nevertheless, once I respawned he spawn-killed me with a defense MG. We still won.
lady luck must have been watching over me that round, cus somehow so many moving objects came together in a cacophany of awesomeness.
And of course, all the other awesome moments in that game. Suicide jeeps on Bocage were tons of fun. Take a jeep, run over 5 or 10 enemy soldiers, smash into a tank. Sure you died too, but you still had like a 10:1 k:d
Another one from Super Smash Brothers Melee. I had 560% damage ( We were playing on Hyrule, and I was Falco, so its very easy to rack up so much damage and not die.) My friend was playing as Ganondorf, and he managed to catch me on the open area of the stage, to the left of the center platform. I don't remember exactly what I did, but needless to say I landed immobilized right in front of him. As he was charging his side smash. I literally had time enough to say "Oh poo poo" before I was blasted off the side of the screen at record setting speeds.
Munch Aug 24, 2009, 07:14 AM That is an epic BF1942 story! I salute your incredibly lucky awesomeness.

I almost singlehandedly Soldiered my team to victory for the first three points of dustbowl, and was very close to capping the 4th point, however the Red team had just managed to keep a sentry alive and a couple of other classes left to get me off the point.
I changed to Demoman, and we struggled against them for 10 minutes, and even though I was consistently tearing down the sentries we just couldn't cap the point. 20 seconds left, a medic ubers me one last time, and I manage to tear the sentries down again. But this time, I've also managed to get on the point. About halfway through capping, I'm sent flying off the point, with 10 seconds left to capture it. Luckily I'd planned for it a little and have a couple of stickies on the point, including a crit, which goes off and wipes out the rest of Red. Got back onto the point and capped it in overtime. Which was followed up by sticky jumping onto point 5 to cap it before removing the window sentries, and then taking down both of them without an uber. Eventually we struggled through to the final point and won. Very satisfying.

Well, this was a long time ago. I was absolutely addicted to the game and after a couple months I was finally accepted into a pro clan. After around five clan wars, I was bumped up to Colonel, and soon, we were facing one of the best clans in the game at the time.
It was on Toujane I believe, not sure.
So the game starts, we begin moving into position. After five minutes of play, my entire team is slaughtered, and I'm hiding in a corner. Only one person of the opposite side was taken out, so that left 5 for me to kill. I slowly turned around the corner, and saw three men. They immediately began firing at me with their tommy guns, and I quickly retreated. I threw a smoke grenade into the passage, and soon it was filled with smoke. Them, not wanting to lose me, ran into the smoke blindly firing, so I threw a grenade in. Three kills. I turn around, and there's a guy trying to bash me, luckily I was the best basher on my team, and I jumped and got him in the head. Instant kill. One dude left. After that, it was stealth hunting. We went on rooftops, searching for each other, until we finally spotted each other on the opposite sides of the map and began firing at each other (we both had rifles). We spent at least 5 minutes jumping and firing, but eventually I got him. I won the clan battle. Single-handedly.

I was hiding in a passageway leading to an open area, I shot at a Covenant flying unit as it was heading straight towards me, and I killed it and it landed (fiery crash, I should say) right in front of me just a single foot away.
Not sure about you, but I thought that was epic and would've made a good teaser for a teaser commercial.
Luckymoose Aug 31, 2009, 06:14 PM Last night I played a LAN coop mission on IL2 1946 with a friend. Us two in our custom painted planes, me in a BF-109 G2 1942 and him in a FW-190 1942. We decided to try out the AI and took on 24 ace level Spitfires. We killed all but 3 of them and they all landed due to fuel shortages. At one point I had seven spitfires behind me and my friend did a diving strafe on them to make them disperse. It was totally epic. We even played chicken to see if we could do a thing like from Pearl Harbor where we make them crash into each other. It worked once. We then flew back to base but I ran out of fuel and had to ditch in a river, he landed safely.
cardgame Sep 17, 2009, 03:40 PM Battlefield Vietnam; on Irving, the US had taken the courtyard and the adjacent artillery ridge. I was a sniper on the ridge, and the enemy was charging across the bridge to cap the courtyard back. With my trusty M21 and a full clip, I took out their entire charging force (6 or 7 infantrymen) before they reached the courtyard.
I'm an awesome sniper :D
Genocidicbunny Sep 17, 2009, 06:53 PM Playing Blitz 1941 last night. Enemy team has a bunch of Marder 3's shelling our tanks, and in general causing problems. I take my company, we sneak up behind them, and exactly 30 seconds later hightail it out of there, 15 dead marders in our wake.
COnsidering that on our way back we had to run through enemy lines consisting of a lot of AG's and tanks, and somehow all 4 of us made it through alive, we were a happy bunch. Getting 15 kills between 4 people in a single life, especially on a frontline, is extremely difficult if the enemy players are any good at all.
azzaman333 Sep 18, 2009, 03:16 AM Heroes of Newerth, playing as Zephyr. After farming very slowly to get my Helm of the Black Legion, and 2 levels behind just about every one else, I give up on laning and start farming in jungle. Before long, I've farmed enough gold to buy myself a frostfield plate and some steamboots, and I join my team in ganking the enemy heroes. Everything goes really well, and I'm smashing them and wondering what happened to make things so easy. Turned out I'd gained 10 levels in jungle while everyone else had only gained 4 or 5, and had better items, so I was unstoppable.
Was very satisfying to have more kills than deaths for once. :D
mythmonster2 Sep 18, 2009, 04:28 PM I destroyed the Kraken without losing a single HP in Earthbound. PSI Freeze is awesome, especially when it solidifies people! I also did the same thing to the Starman DX.
Genocidicbunny Sep 18, 2009, 06:10 PM Was playing some Red Faction Guerilla last night. I had just one EDF building I needed to destroy to lower their control to 0 ( play the game if you dont know what this means, it gets explained pretty much at the start.)
I tried a few times to get in there, throw a few demo charges on the building, blow them, and repeat, but every time I got close, the alert level went up to orange and I was swarmed by EDF drones. So, I decided on a different approach. I hijacked a big dump truck, got to full speed, shot up that incline to the building and flew right through it. Building collapses, kills the EDF drones shooting at me, and I in my mostly undamaged dump truck hightail it out of there with a convoy of heavy transports on my arse.

On Irving, my huey is under heavy SA-7 fire from the gooks (censored??). I bail out once it's 90% dead, i spray n pray my M16 at a VC walking away from me 20 ft away. I hit him but don't kill him, so I whip out my pistol and kill him. Since my M16 and pistol need reloads but I'm in the middle of enemy lines, I take his weapon - the M21 sniper rifle. I switch to pistol and turn around, 10 feet away is a VC with a machete charging at me. I shoot and kill him and the match ends. :D
Genocidicbunny Sep 20, 2009, 05:34 AM You should have knifed him. That would have been even more epic.

hossam Sep 20, 2009, 11:51 PM this if from a while back. i had downloaded the WOW trial period. so i was playing a warlock and kept bugging this guy to duel me(we were around same level), i wouldnt leave him alone until he dueled me.so he finally agrees, so i get him to low health and use fear on him and he runs into a group of monsters and ends up getting killed. IT WAS HILARIOUS. i was laughing my ass off. he didnt even want a duel and i ended up killing him. never bought the full version though.
cardgame Sep 21, 2009, 01:07 AM This WHOLE GAME was EPIC.
Teams were small - 6-8 players each throughout the course of the map. The map was: Siege Of Khe Sahn
I spawned as an engineer with the landmines. I grabbed the mig21 and took off, flying near straight up in case of the enemy Phantom being up already.
When I was 3/4 way to the USA main I went into a full nosedive. I approached their helicopters and fired my rockets. Boom, i kill a guy trying to hop into the cobra. I was going so fast though I didn't have time to aim, so the cobra is still alive. Also, because of said speed i had to bail or i would've crashed. I landed, planted a landmine on the cobra when it was a couple inches off the ground already - BOOM. It explodes. I run over to the huey and grab it and get a couple of cheap rape kills when I notice the Phantom spawned. I bailed out of my huey, planted boobies on the A-7 Corsair and grabbed the Phantom and stayed in it for the whole rest of the game, barring a couple deaths.
Each time I died though I grabbed a jeep from artillery ridge and made my way into their base again to steal the Phantom. You see, they already captured our main.
Some more epic moments from this game: I was flying along the road from the US Main to the French Fort, TREETOP HEIGHT, and i saw a jeep. I fire a missile and boom, killed half their team. (3 ppl in jeep trying to recapture their US main, haha)
Also, once we captured their main and they trying to cap it back. The flag had just gone neutral when I come along and napalm the bunker next to the flag. The napalm penetrates inside and I kill two people and stop the capture :D
Final epic moment: The US had gotten an A-7 Corsair airborne. I met it as we were both flying circles in opposite directions and fire a missile at practically point blank head on and BOOM it's dead.
Here is the final score... I am Zebramel.

I killed Mr Tenpenny or whatever his name is that way. He just sat there and didn't react while I took cover. All that was left were his legs.
It was quite a fun fame for the first play through of about 50 hours, but it's a shame that the game has no replay value, bad combat, bad character creation, and unappealing expansions.
