Good day,

I didn't see that in any mod and I'm asking what do you think about that. The ressources like iron and copper wouldn't appear automatically on the map, but it would need a kind of prospector units (or it could be a task for the workers) to discover the ressources. A little bit like in Settlers game if you played that game.

What do you think ?

Cela existe déjà avec la probabilité des mines de dégager les ressources métalliques et les pierres précieuses !

Qu'en est-il du pétrole par exemple... Il est illogique de savoir où il y a une source de pétrole en mers sans y avoir envoyé quelqu'un pour sonder l'endroit à la recherche de pétrole. Ce n'est qu'un exemple.

Oui, tout n'est pas au top dans CIV4 ! C'est pourquoi ce jeu est moddé de façon extensive.

The AI wouldn't really use the unit -> problem.

You could be interested to look at a modcomp, which i did (this one (http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=12268)). But what i can see, this couldn't be turned into a regular worker ability, because the AI also doesn't really understand it. I did some tricks for it.

For the oil: Just allow the oil rigs everywhere, and give them a chance to discover oil. Ekmek created a mod, which did that, but it hasn't been updated to 3.19.
