How do you build a tech tree thats seperate from the original? For instance the tech tree for road to war is its own entity. Whats the best way to start this? I know how add a tech but never tried to make my own tech tree. Now I have to make two tech trees, one for a mod dealing with Napopleon, and one dealing with World War One. Both mods are going to be RevolutionDCM compatible and for BTS 3.19. I found a giant Europe map I am going to use for both. I just have to add civs and cities, alot of work but I am going to take my time, there is no rush. I have a good imagination and I know alot about both time periods. I just want to start of on the right foot. So if you know of a good tutorial for building a tech tree from scratch, please let me know.

What I do is figure out how you want tech research to progress, long times or normal times. If is is normal times over a mod with 500+ turns, what I do is three pieces of paper and having the one on the left be early, and so on. That way you can have a better sense of time with the tech tree. Also, the tech tree I used in my mod is my third attempt at it, and I'm still not satisfied so the version of my mod where I merge Final Fronteir with RevDCM will have a new tech tree.

Thanks but what I am doing will not be so complicated. I am simply moving two mods, one from vanilla called World War One, and the other for Warlords, called Napoleon, over to BTS 3.19, with RevolutionDCM integrated. I figured out what I have to do, and I am just going to bring over the original tech tree, of course make any xml changes that are required for BTS. And do the same with units, which in the case of World War One, I have changed alot of them, to make the game better. I have a huge European map, just have to place cities, and resources, and improvements. Add civs as I go along, should be tedious and long, but interesting.
I have a question about RevDCM though, I open the game and none of the revolutions changes are on, they are all listed as none, but all the DCM options are on, how do I turn on the rev options?

Tech tree> Basicaly its still the same. Create a list of all the technological/government/cultural/you name it advancements that occured, and make a tech tree.
RevDCM> i believe its just Ctrl+Alt+O to open up the BUG menu where you can toggle revolution options under the rev tab.
