GOTM 93 - first spoiler, the Ancient Age

I'm off on vacation with the family through the first week of August, so I haven't been very available to do GOTM stuff; I'll get the GOTM93 spoilers out today. And COTM63 ... is already on the system! :) So that game will start on time.

Not a lot of extra food obvious nearby. Where did you found your capital and why? How did you find your 'neighbors' and what have you done with/to them so far? Any other contacts? And what are your plans going forward into the Middle Ages?

Settle in Place and start exploring. (I probably should have settled one south to improve speed movement from capital where I was alternating Archers (then Swords) and Settlers. A stack of 5 or 6 archers were sent south in search of other civs. Found Japan after a loooonnnnngg march and Korea found my archers one turn later. In the middle ages I plan to complete Feudalism and attack Japan again, hopefully eliminating them, then setting my sights on Korea. I am starting a harbor and will probably build a couple more to have veteran galleys when I can cross the ocean.

From huts I get CB, a worker (later killed by barbies), BW, 2 x Barbarians.

Meet Japan in 1990, no trades.

Meet Korea in 1950, trade Masonry and The Wheel for Iron Working, Alphabet and 22 gold.
In 1600 BC I trade Japan HB for Mysticism and 2 g.
In 1175 BC Trade Korea World Map and 97 g for Writing and Terr Map.
In 950 BC, I again trade with Korea WM +178 g and 1 gpt for Map Making. Declare on Japan and auto destroy Kagoshima two turns later (Archers).
Sign a RoP with Korea in 800 BC and auto destroy another Japanese town. Peace with Japan in 670 BC giving WM for Math, Philosophy and 8g.
In 630 BC, I trade Korea Poly +47g for CoL + worker and in 290 BC trade Korea WM + 315g for Construction.
In 210 BC declare war on Japan destroying Izumo in 190 BC. Capture and abandon two towns.
Complete Monarchy drawing 5 or 6 turn anarchy. In 30 AD complete revolt to Monarch, start researching Currency.

110 AD: Peace with Japan for 200g, Currency, Satsuma, Nagasaki, enter Middle Ages.
