Help! Recently, I tried Re-loading Civ III on my computer after about a 5 months, and A) I found it wasn't completly deleated. No proplem, I thought, I'll just click Reinstall, however it just "did mantinace on it not doing anything! Same thing with uninstall! I then tried it on my friends computer, and the same thing happend!! (He had loaded and deleated as well.) I have tried everything I can think of and the most I got was B) a windows message saying it could not find bink32.dll What does this mean I want to play my CIV game!!

I run a win 98 and my friend, a XP. I do not know the version of the game.

Did you uninstall the program or just delete the files?

Try uninstalling the latest patch. (control panel --> add/remove software). You could even try making a few fake files. (i.e., saving a file as civilization3.exe and seeing if it tries to uninstall it).

I did add/remove as for a patch, I never installed one. I just got the game and loaded it.

How do you install a patch and find out which version of the game you have?

When you load the game, it will tell you at the bottom-left corner of your screen.
