View Full Version : Plants Vs Zombies
Icekommander Aug 06, 2009, 10:43 PM Anyone else played this yet? A week or so I played the 60 minute demo. I was rather impressed by it, so I hinted at mine Father (He owed me) that I wouldn't mind playing deeper into the game. Three days ago he gave to me as a gift on steam. I read somewhere that the adventur mode was supposed to take around seven hours. I finished it that day ;). I've now managed to complete the majority of the Minigames/Puzzles, and made a good indentation on the surviver mode, as well as 1/3 of the way through the adventure mode again, this time with Crazy Dave (I love that guy) picking three of my seeds.
And I don't see myself stopping anytime soon either. Them mushroom zen plants are to darn elusive let alone the aquatic ones. I'll be long bored with game and still hunting for them. The only real problem with the game I've found is the lack of difficulty. I'm still using the same bread and butter tactics for most levels that I did back and the start. Not even Crazy Daves usurpation of three of my seed slots has really dented my tactics, although sometimes I modle my tactices around those three plants.
So how's about you all? Any fellow zombie besieged plant lovers out there?
Sprig Aug 07, 2009, 06:14 AM Its made by popcap aye? I have heard good things about it. really tempted to get it.
Heretic_Cata Aug 07, 2009, 06:50 AM I heard it's just a good tower defense game.
What makes it special ? I'm thinking of trying it.
warpstorm Aug 07, 2009, 09:56 AM Try it, you'll see.
Icekommander Aug 07, 2009, 01:07 PM Well the fact that your defending your lawn from zombies. With plants. And the only dude you know is still alive wears a frying pan on his head. How often to you get to see a zombie get his head knocked off by a flying pea? Anyhow it's possible to get a 60 minute demo off steam, as well as a few other places as well.
Sprig Aug 07, 2009, 05:06 PM sweet as, once my cap resets ill download the demo me thinks.
Genocidicbunny Aug 08, 2009, 04:28 AM I got it back when it was 7.50$ on steam. A worthwhile purchase id say. I figure, it kept me entertained for a few hours, and my time at the moment aint worth that much.
Its a slight twist on tower defense games, so if you dont care for those, you wont care much for Plants vs Zombies either.
plarq Aug 08, 2009, 07:11 AM it is a tower defense game
and enemy can only go through several lanes.
Heretic_Cata Aug 08, 2009, 08:38 AM I've tried it. :D
It's a great tower defense game and just as addictive as the best of them on the net. :)
(haven't finished it yet)
Icekommander Aug 08, 2009, 05:29 PM I have recently been irritated by the lack of space in the Mushroom Garden and Aquarium. I haven't filled them up yet, but I can already see myself filling them completely up while trying to finish those stupid Hard Pool and Nighttime survival levels.
Heretic_Cata Aug 17, 2009, 09:18 AM Got the gold - took 10 days.
It kept me occupied a lot more than most "serious" games.
I've bought mostly everything except the 80.000 slot thing.
I still havent found anything to put in my aquatic garden.
I also should grow that stupid tree now that i can waste money.
PredatorFett Aug 18, 2009, 02:06 PM Bought this game on steam. Surprisingly interesting concept, to say the least.
Icekommander Aug 18, 2009, 02:33 PM I still havent found anything to put in my aquatic garden.
There are a couple of them out there. They only drop on pool levels of course, and it doesn't help that there are only three of them (Lilypad, Tanglekelp and Aquatic shroom)
