i got civ 3 installed on my old k62 450 and its really laggy and choppy evenw ith animation all off :( is there any way to increase performace like set teh resolution down or somthing?

oh come on! SOMEONE must no how to turn the res down?

In the civilization3.ini file, put in "KeepRes=1" (without the quotes).

More importantly, turn off all of the animations (except battles).

Another thing that I have noticed is that Civ3's performance is severly hampered if your drive is fragmented. Back last november I had slow performance and crashes after an two-three hours of playing. But defragging my hard drive fixed all that.
