Okay no second guessing this time. Settle in place, irrigate both wheats, mine the cattle, two hills and the wines. Pump out settlers until an appropriate time for an aquaduct. Go from there.

that“s quite a few tiles to work on size 4-6, minutia.

if i count correctly, and if you want to use all bonus tiles for the capital, you simply mine everything, and get a 4-turn SF for exactly 30 shields with the forest on growth. but it would be kinda waste, so i“d recalculate what could be given to another town.

Er, isn't it time for the quarterly high difficulty game soon? he said cockily.

"Why yes", he replied smugly, "as usual, next month in September." :p

not going to last long with raging barbs and emperor lvl anyway so will move 1 hex NW to settle, worker to wheat and irrigate. go from there.

Settle in place, irrigate the wheat.

the starting location is probably just a bit 2 good (although there is a severe lack of shields); I think there are some surprises waiting for us, my guess:
- no horses and/or no iron nearby
- the 7 most aggressive AI's waiting for us; Germany and Japan are a lock I think!

This is what I would call an irritating starting position.

irrigate both wheats, mine the cattle

If you irrigate the Cattle and mine a Wheat, you have the same before the Golden Age, but two more spt during it. And this setup promises it will come sooner than you'd wish, triggered by a defending Bowman.

For what it is worth (i.e. not a lot with respect to the capital) I'm calling a third wheat W,W,NW.
