Looks like a return to the Atlantic theatre. Trailer after the link, featuring a curiously accented U-boot crew. Apparently it will be released next year.

I really liked SH4 & SH3, though they can be very tedious, having to spend alot of time just crossing large expanses of ocean, they can be thrilling when you come across a convoy.

Due to the time commitment I never got into 3, barely learned how to play basics, and I forget everything now.

In the trailer the guy who asks the.. wtf? American? captain if he wants to play a game looks a lot like the main char in GTA4.

U-571, surely? Certainly that trailer only depicted an American crew taking over a u-boat and, erm, nicking the crews clothes?

If the game is just SH3, but with the more dynamic campaign missions of SH4, I'll be fairly chuffed.

Hmmm, I don't know what to think.

Unless there are fairly major upgrades from SH3 and 4, I don't think I'll be buying it.

I loved the SH3 setting, and crew management etc, but I also liked SH4's campaign structure, instead of the random sailing for days (though tbh I'd like a mix of both).

The thing is, the U-boats have been overdone, and unless there are exceptional new additions (wolf-packs, etc), then I'm afraid I won;t be buying this.

I'd love a cold war based SH though, or even a WWI one.

I'd like to see wolfpacks as well, but I'll probably still pick it up even if it doesn't.

Where's that accent from?

I dunno, After SH2 I sort of drifted away from the series but 4 wasn't THAT bad....

I never went to english dialogue. I always stuck with the German. I hope they keep German VOs.

I meant that I wont give them up. Not getting it unless they have German VOs.

I have a very strange relationship with Silent Hunter, I love the gameplay and the idea but my utter failure at actually sinking any shipping ruins it for me :p
