Ack, it's not QUITE up, just the format. Looks fairly normal, Standard Map, Monarch, random everything else.

It should be a much easier game compared to last month's.

Not really, just happened to check it and see the new game was up, downloaded it, posted my post, then realized the new game was last month's. So I figured you were 'mid-update' and THEN I started refreshing over and over =)

Just so everyone starts the game with the same amount of info, please take a look at SOTD #29, which was taken from GOTM XII. :)

I also put a link to it on the gotm page.

Great, monarch! (no sarcasm here) That's doable for me, I hope.

Phew! Looks like my fears for a deity game while playing the Zulus were - thankfully- unjustified. As a typical builder-style player I usually do not maximize Zululand's abilities to their full potential (or in other words, I don't like early warfare ;) ).

Most players should be able to have submitted a victory come the end of the month I think. :)

Hhhmmm... never played Shaka -I love to see him beaten up in the end-game screen...

I guess I'll have to start building Impis even before I download the game! :yeah:

Expansionist and Militaristic civ must go by the early conquest way. But Standart map size isn't bad for milking game strategy.

I'm battling with the same problem. Early conquest at Monarch level doesn't pay off that well, specially on the map size.

At last there is a good starting location.

I'm going to try a "no peace" game, as I read somewhere (an RBE game, I think). ie. always declare war, never obtain peace. Should be interesting with Zulus. But does this mean no alliances, no trade -> less interesting? Can't remember exactly how that game was played. Any suggestions to make this more interesting?

Well, I did have some luck with the last one... but I think I'll try this one for a change. I'm not quite ready yet for a full fledged emperor game. :) (Just in bits and pieces). Monarch should be a challenge for me.
