Im trying to run the normal Civ4 game since applying patch 3.19 for Beyond the Sword. I don't want to run Beyond the Sword, only the normal Civ4 game (I want to play the tutorial scenario). But I get an error about the run disk being in the drive.

Can anyone else do this, or did 3.19 break Civ4?

A well known issue, altough not so much in context with the BtS 3.19 patch... The reason is most probably that the pirate copy protection program of civ4 doesn't recognizes your original game disc (no, that's no code text for software pirates, that's serious!). I think all you can do is an 'alternative executable file' (;)) to get it to work. Don't await someone will give you a link. This would be against the forums rules, I think. BTW: I wouldn't have too much scruples in this case. If Firaxis isn't able to get this working properly, then you don't have any other choice then this. You bought the game, you have the right to play it. It's their fault.

Yes, I just tested it.

Are you trying to run it without the disk? 3.19 only removes copy protection from BTS, not vanilla or Warlords. (whereas I think Complete removes copy protection from everything).

No, I'm trying to use the original Civ4 disk. I have the normal Civ4 package and then warlords and bts bought and installed speratly (as compared to complete or steam installs).

Vanilla works perfectly with the DISK.:p But my Warlords disk is corrupted.
