I recently tried playing both Age of Ice and Final Frontier. Both scenarios (mods?) would load with my home area in the middle of the screen, but with the rest of the screen all black. So I could right click to move units, but I couldn't access any other part of the interface.

I tried searching the forums to see if others have had a problem, but I didn't come up with anything.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this? At least for Age of Ice, I did try the running as an administrator, but it didn't work.

Did I post this in the wrong section? (or alternatively, would there be a better section of the forums to post this question in?)

If you have installed the BUG mod (or another mod that modifies the user interface) into CustomAssets then that is almost certainly the problem.

Any mod that has itself modified the user interface tends to not work when you do that.

The easiest way to fix this is to go into the ini file for the mod you want to play that isn't working and set it to not use custom assets. For example, the file for Final Frontier is in the mod's folder and is called "Finaler Frontier.ini". Open the file with Notepad. Go to the line that says "NoCustomAssets = 0" and change it to "NoCustomAssets = 1". If this was your problem, you should now be able to play the mod.
