OK, just some questions about how they come up with the numbers on the demographics page (not the graph)

Manufactured Goods: I guess this deals with how many connected resources non-food u have in your empire

Crop same thing but food I don't know how these numbers come to be

Soldiers: I counted up my power archer 3 axeman 5 and so on (base power only) and I think they just add these up and add zeros to them

Health: ratio to green faces to health symbols

Approval Rating: Happy to Angry faces

Population: I don't know how they come up with the number but I'm guessing similar to soldiers but people die throughout the years so it may be different.

Import/ Export: This is the one I don't get at all. How is mine negative???

Do I have these right??? Can someone explain the Import/Export stat?

Thanks, you guys are always helpful

GNP, MfG and Crop is simple. It is simply your total production of Commerce(Beakers + Gold + Culture), Hammers and Food respectively.

Soldiers: each unit, some buildings (e.g, barracks, stables, walls) and at least a few wonders have specific values associated with them - there is a post somewhere regarding what those numbers are.

Population: Pretty sure it is just some direct factor of the number of citizens in all your cities (add up the big number on the city bars and compare)

Import/Export: Someone else needs to provide more detail but basically the sum total of "trade routes" that you generate (foreign) versus incoming routes. Taken in totality (all AI and human players) the two parts will be equal - but less than the total trade route income due to domestic trade routes. Also, pretty sure it is ordered/ranked according to imports but since exports are what give you commerce a lower rank is better.

I pretty sure that some techs also count towards it. There should be an article in the War Academy section, I'm just too lazy to look for it now.

Good link civverguy.
I was most curious to learn what the exports-to-imports thing was all about. Now I have a tool to try to judge if I'm letting the AI get too much commerce off of me! :p
