Hey me and my friend play civ quite a bit :D but by no means are we experts far from it lol. we have recently PWNED a match on noble and are moving up to prince in hopes of a bigger challenge :) . We recently discovered a (few games ago) how much early expansion helps, and are working on improving our methods of doing so.

So in short my questions are as follows

1) How much harder is prince than noble? what changes should we look for and how do we counteract them?

2) How is a good way to gauge how you should expand, because currently we just wait till we have around 4 - 5 good city's and are on a fast track to communism and then go crazy on settler development...... i meant CRAZY :crazyeye: .

Thanks for reading this :D any help is appreciated ^_^

No need to wait for Communism...

Currency and Code of Laws (backed by an army of 1.5 workers per city) are enough to fuel almost unlimited settler production.

4-5 good cities until communism??

Dave's right - once you have currency/COL, no reason to stop expanding if there's room.

Noble-prince IMO was not much of a jump. Very little difference overall - slight advantages to the AI, but warrior rush is still viable, massive rexing early is still viable, and you can out-tech and outproduce the AI with decent city specialization, enough workers, and modest beelining.

More [good] cities -> higher tech rate.

Just something worth mentioning.
