View Full Version : The next Champions League winners?
Rhye Oct 02, 2002, 03:56 PM After tonight results, we can have an idea of all the teams, which have played 3 matches.
What do you say?
I say Real Madrid again but without Ronaldo. I guess and I hope he'll break the other knee.
col Oct 03, 2002, 02:17 AM I'm a Man United fan but Arsenal are looking unbeatable right now. Real may find it tough against a tough team that can hurt them.
Arsenal have a great defence, the best centre midfield two in the world in Vierra and Gilberto, and they score goals every game. I voted for them though it hurts.
The thing is, next May, who knows. If Henry and Vierra get injured then they've no chance.
And Man U are coming back into form. Scholes is back. Keane may be soon ??
A small piece of luck - a ball hits a post or goes in, decides most games at the top level.
Dell19 Oct 03, 2002, 07:58 AM Well I just had to vote for Machester United
Hitro Oct 03, 2002, 11:09 AM I don't rule out Bayern Munich until there's no theoretical chance left.
Too much has happened...
How about Ajax?
Dell19 Oct 03, 2002, 11:21 AM I doubt Ajax will win... Its much more likely to be Real Madrid but Man UTD are playing well in Europe at the moment.
Suppersalmon Oct 03, 2002, 12:32 PM if theres a match between real madrid v arsenal sometime in the tornement the winners of that match will lift the champions league
MCdread Oct 03, 2002, 04:37 PM So far the best team of the competition has been AC Milan, and there's still room for them to improve, since Rivaldo is still lost in the field. If they keep this momentum, then I hope for a final between Milan and Madrid. BTW, these are the two teams with the greatest record in the competition.
Rhye Oct 03, 2002, 04:48 PM Deportivo-Milan 0-4

Thanks for the confidence in Ajax but I don't think we will make it this year. I think the winner will be Barcalona, Real Madrid or Arsenal, with AC Milan as strong outsider. These teams are in shape right now but once Barcelona gets in shape, they also will rock!
So my vote goes to Barcalona. I hope they get in shape in the second half of the season, when it really matters in the CL.
Rhye Oct 10, 2002, 04:57 AM Only 7 votes....it seems that we Europeans are very few!
Dell19 Oct 10, 2002, 08:13 AM Or people don't want to vote because its too early...
Rhye Oct 10, 2002, 11:58 AM It's early...that's why they should vote!

You're right. They're germans, after all...
dtziouf Oct 11, 2002, 05:31 AM I had to vote for Olympiakos but if we do not make it to the ... final ,maybe I should say second round ;) ,
I would say Real vs Arsenal would be a great final
willemvanoranje Oct 11, 2002, 05:53 AM I voted for AC Milan. Otherwise I'd vote for Real Madrid. Bayern and the Mancunians are outsiders I think... Ajax winning the championsleague? Hmm...no, impossible. Even a bigger miracle than in '95, when they thought Ajax wouldn't even get through the first round...
Panda Oct 11, 2002, 07:15 AM Real Madrid, I'm afraid. :(
Rhye Nov 27, 2002, 03:20 PM Yesterday Milan-Real 1-0.
Maybe the spanish power is ending?
And tonight a nice 1-4 between Newcastle and Inter...
col Nov 27, 2002, 04:18 PM And Roma 1 Arsenal 3
Rhye Nov 27, 2002, 06:39 PM Any team with Zebina in defence would take 3 goals
Crimson Sunrise Nov 27, 2002, 11:09 PM I want Manchester United to win, but I don't think they will. God, what a terrible field it is this time around. Hardly a single team I like other than Man U. :p
col Nov 28, 2002, 04:07 AM Dont write off ManU yet. They will be a different team after Christmas.
willemvanoranje Nov 28, 2002, 11:53 AM naaah, not enough to defeat Arsenal, AC Milan or Real Madrid.
anarchywrksbest Dec 08, 2002, 06:33 AM Manchester United!! :mwaha:
Håkon Dec 09, 2002, 08:12 AM Valencia - solid in their home league, solid in the Champions' League. Although not spectacular in any sense (except maybe for Aimar) they have quality all the way through. Most other teams have some weak spot.
Sa~Craig Dec 23, 2002, 03:13 PM There is only one United
There is only one United
