Hi there. We run a multiple computer household including several PC's and a Mac. We'd like to get CIV IV Complete for Mac - or even just BTS - but can't locate a copy anywhere to purchase. Anyone have an idea where to get it for the Mac?

Hi, welcome :wavey:

There isn't a Civ4 Complete for Mac (yet?). I guess Mac BtS is too new right now to be sold in a cut-price bundle. The best option is probably to buy Civ4 Gold, which includes vanilla plus Warlords, and buy BtS separately. If you don't need the Warlords scenarios, then you may be able to get vanilla and BtS slightly cheaper.

Hello Vermonter, I'm using a Mac and a Windows, and in my opinion you're better of buying Bootcamp and then the Civ IV - The Civ IV package for Macintosh is imo ridiculously overpriced.

If you insist on using Macintosh for your gaming, I suggest you try Apple.com or Amazon.
Beyond the Sword costs 35 Euro, the Warlord+CIV IV costs 50 euro.
I got my complete CIVIV+expansions for Windows for 20 bucks ¬¬.

Note that you don't have to buy Bootcamp as a specific product. You get it as part of OSX 10.5 or 10.6. You *do* have to buy a copy of Windows to install on it.

Ah yes, that's what I meant , sorry.

Still , it's worth it if your computer can run it, imo.

I agree, I've never been happy with Mac ports of windows games. Besides being considerably more cost effective (if you already have a copy of Windows), you will get better performance, more stability, and greater access to mods by running civ in Windows rather then OSX.
