Watch the History Channel a lot I guess. llamada de emergencia :D civ editor11 Sep 27, 2009, 09:41 PM Watch the History/Military channel or listen to music. snafusmith Sep 28, 2009, 06:42 AM Listen to music and or a TV or movie in the back ground mostly. When I work on graphics, sometimes nothing, but if I'm doing anything w/ XML I have to have something to distract me!!! The Capo Sep 28, 2009, 09:58 AM I drink, smoke, and usually have either the news or history channel on while I mod. mechaerik Sep 28, 2009, 11:18 AM What's up with everyone and the history channel? Afforess Sep 28, 2009, 12:36 PM What's up with everyone and the history channel? Yeah, really. The Discovery Channel is much cooler. They've got the Mythbusters! The_J Sep 28, 2009, 12:57 PM Hearing music, or when i'm programming and have to concentrate i do nothing besides that. TheLastOne36 Sep 28, 2009, 01:08 PM Yeah, really. The Discovery Channel is much cooler. They've got the Mythbusters! Yes, but Discovery is to distracting... mechaerik Sep 28, 2009, 02:11 PM Yes, but Discovery is to distracting... http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_W1Lq44lVp38/SgWSFjVyUJI/AAAAAAAAA3E/9dCM3WIb0f8/s400/mythvm4lo0tm8.jpg civ editor11 Sep 28, 2009, 05:05 PM That's the point it is way to distracting the history channel is almost as good bu not as distracting it allows us to concentrate more while still having a distraction. TheLastOne36 Sep 28, 2009, 08:12 PM Yes, I don't think I would be able to mod with Mythbusters in the background. Dom Pedro II Sep 29, 2009, 01:39 PM I watch Mythbusters while modding sometimes. But it's all episodes I've seen at least once anyway. At least until the next season. generalstaff Sep 29, 2009, 03:59 PM Watch TV; if nothing is on, I throw in a Simpsons DVD. I agree with snafusmith, distractions are needed when working with XML; it can be very tedious at times. Afforess Sep 29, 2009, 04:16 PM Watch TV; if nothing is on, I throw in a Simpsons DVD. Okay, but the worst XML is when your dealing with some obscure part, like promotions, and you don't know that whitespace somewhere in the path to the promotion image causes all kinds of issues in game.... Took me forever to figure that out... generalstaff Sep 29, 2009, 04:52 PM Okay, but the worst XML is when your dealing with some obscure part, like promotions, and you don't know that whitespace somewhere in the path to the promotion image causes all kinds of issues in game.... Took me forever to figure that out... That crosses from tedious to frustrating. The worst was dealing for me was dealing with ArtStyles, of course that had more do with me being stupid and trying to get them to work while debugging. kiwitt Sep 29, 2009, 05:46 PM In silence ... dual screen 22" and 26" active on websites. The Capo Sep 30, 2009, 09:23 AM I prefer more complex stuff than monotonous things like tedious XML (making flavored unit sets). The more repetative something gets the easier it is to screw up because you can easily find yourself glossing through very quickly and that can cause a lot of typos. LoneTraveller Oct 04, 2009, 08:21 PM with inspiring music from youtube in the backround like this clip : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29LKdm_j8fc&feature=channel_page I don't usually watch the video but it happens. |
