I have the HoF mod, ver 1.74.002 and I saw on the page that you cannot submit HoF games. But do GoTM games fall under that same category? If you can is there anything else I need to do to play? I saw something on the site about needing to change some dll if I haven't installed BtS?
Sorry if this is posted somewhere else but I didn't really see anything digging through threads from the search menu.
Probably an old question since most mac users have BtS now but there must still be a few who play Vanilla still :)

Yes, you can play and submit GOTMs using a Mac.
The following text appears on each Game Release page on the GOTM web site. That's the place where you download the start file for the game:
Mac players will require version 1.74 of Civilization IV, plus HoF Mod version HOF-Mac-1.74.002, available here (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=214617).
Do that and you should be good to go.
If you have Warlords then you can also play and submit WOTMs. You need to follow the equivalent instruction to set your Warlords software up.
The same release pages also warn Windows players that they must update their DLLs if they have not installed BtS. Since you are not playing the Windows version, you do not need to do this.

Ah, thank you guru of the mac forums :D
Looking back over it I really should have seen :hammer2:
You have probably heard this a lot but one more time never hurt anyone, I just want to whole-heartedly say thank you for all you have done for the Mac CIV community. I see all the help you give people when they work on mods and getting scenarios to run, and you have always been super fast and helpful when I have had to ask questions.
I appreciate it Alan :goodjob:
