Is there a way to add a monospace font to the forum so we don't have to use the code tag.

It's really annoying when looking at people's sigs that have the ASCII art in them and it says code: and then has a big blank space!

I don't imagine the font would be too hard to add and it would be a lot neater that using the code tag.

What do you guys think?

I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about...... :p More options is always nice though. :)

I mean adding a font such as the system font used in notepad where every letter is the exact same width, it helps line up and organize things.

It sounds a good idea, and could be useful, but the code tag in sigs doesn't really worry me...

yeh sounds like a good idea but we should be more bothered about getting the fanatic back

I don't like it either, seeing as how my sig is one of them (or at least I think it is, but I don't know what ASCII is...). And what is the big blank space you speak of?

1)ASCII art is using letters and symbols to make pictures or other things.

2)The blank space is the blank area that encompasses about an inch above and below the actual will j in your sig.

You can use any font you like already. For exmaple, in the font tag below,

Just replace Arial with any font name you want. Such as Comic Sans MS

Thanks Gonz ;)

But does vbulletin accept any font that I have on my computer? I doubt it...

It will. But if you use a weird font, most other people will not be able to see it as intended.

btw, vB 3.0 has a long list of fonts included for post formatting, including some monospace fonts. :)

I see a half-inch or so space above the code tag, but not below, not counting the space that is below anyone's sig. But whatever you're talking about, I agree with you that the code tag is annoying (although not too much of an annoyance).

I would say about as annoying as the gonzo's and ren's mega-huge, overly bold, whiny eye-sores in their sigs. :p Maybe more....

At least resize it to something more reasonable. :)

Does that mean the others have to change their sigs as well?
