Every time I try to load the GOTM, it loads the mod I need and then when it goes back into the game, I get an in game error that says Load Failed at the top right and the game exits to desktop. BTW, I am using vanilla civ 4

moved to HoF subforum - since it seems like an issue with the HoF mod

is you civilization 4 patched to date? do you have the newest version of the HoF Mod installed?

If you have Civ patched to 1.74 and have the HOF mod version 1.74.004 installed (both are necessary to get the GOTM file going), try running the Assets Checker (http://hof.civfanatics.net/civ4/mod.php?show=assetschecker) and post the log file here.

Ran AssetChecker... Pretty sure I have the results here

It looks like you core game dll has been modified (whether corrupted or by another mod that changed assets). You will have to re-install Civ IV to get GOTM going. Make sure you run uninstall and then manually delete the Civ IV directory before re-installing.

Good luck.

Now apparently, I cannot uninstall.

An error (-5004 : 0x80041f42) has occurred while running the setup

Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications. If the error still occurs, please contact your vendor: Fireaxis Games

(##IDS_PRODUCT_URL##).

I would say something has corrupted. You still should be able to uninstall though . If you shut down your machine and try again (good old windows), otherwise you can try a manual deletion of the civ iv directory and then re-install.

I seem to have exact same problem.
I uninstalled, deleted dir, installed in different dir all over , and same problem...
I have only installed vanilla, no bts/warlords

Try the above.
