This is an INOFRMATIONAL POLL!

In Bavaria, we are not at the edge of deciding in which direction our production should go.
Our initial Strikeforce of 9 Swordmen is soon finished, and we are discussing here (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?postid=534457#post534457) what to build next.

I, as the lord mayor of Bavaria, now want to get a feeling in which direction we should produce.

There are 2 possibilities:
* cultural approach = temple, library, wonders etc.
* military approach = swordmen or other military units

The following situations have also to be considered:
* he have 2 happy and 2 unhappy citizens in the city. one happy going moderate and it will riot
* we are on the edge of a full-scale war with the aztecs

Now i leave it up to the populace to give me an idea where to go next. Military or Culture.

The options are Military, Culture and Abstain, and the poll will be open for 48 hours. It does not have to reach quorum, as it is not binding.

Military. Until our military need has ended, that has to have priority.

Naturally I advocate the military option. At the moment the AI perceives us to be strong, but we must not simply rest on our current laurels. As our nation expands it will require an ever greater military for defence and to allow future offensives. Due to its size and productivity, Bavaria is easily the best city to power such a build up at this point and, given the presence of the palace, is not in desperate need of a culture generator.

I would agree with you Eklektikos ;). We should still be building Military Units, even during the war against the Aztecs to replace fallen or healing units (Healing units are not killed, they just have to stop to rest in a city to recuperate ;) ).

I think it also depends on our overall military objective. Do we intend to take a few cities from the Aztecs or do we desire to conquer them entirely?

If the former, then perhaps we have sufficient strength to accomplish that feat at present and we can alter our build queue accordingly. If the latter, then we had better keep producing military units, for I fear that our current force may be sufficiently challenged by the Aztec defenses to accomplish that goal without reinforcements.

I must implore you to build at least *some* culture in our fair city! As FortyJ said, if our plan is to merely cripple the Aztecs, we should have sufficient force to accomplish that. If we suffer any setbacks, without even a temple to provide solace, our people may riot!

IF we are lucky enough to take their Capital, wouldn't their new Capital be located East of that? Which is the direction we want to expand in. I say keep pumping out the military units.

The happyness needed from a temple could also be achieved by a MP-unit in bavaria.

military, i think you missed an option though, 'growth' (settlers, workers)

If 'growth' was there, I would vote that

I abstain. There's no growth option! ;)
Although, culture would come second.

Nope. Growth was never an option in the discussion. You should have asked for it earlier. And also, the general consensus was that it would be bad to get our highest production city down to 2 and low production.
