View Full Version : Show me yours and i'll show you mine
SunTzu Oct 11, 2002, 12:00 PM Lets post our current games for each other to see how we're doing, i'm gonna post my current game as the English.
Its 1705, the french have been kicked out of the America's and the Spanish have been kicked out of S.America by me. The Dutch pretty much rule North America. I'm at war with the Dutch in the Carribean and Florida.
I'm building up and i'm about to Declare Independence.
Shabbaman Oct 16, 2002, 01:44 AM It's autumn 1654. The spanish forces have surrounded the dutch fortresses of Nieuw Huizum and Nieuw Rotterdam, but their attacks have been countered. Catholic blood is spoiled over dutch soil. The remaining spanish forces flee in panic.
Pretty obvious that I'm playing on the discoverer level.
It's my first game in ages though. I'm going pretty strong, but I must watch out that the spanish don't declare independence before me. I've got 6 cities, pretty much so to say, but I'm building up forces.
I'm pretty confidend that I'll win this one. To speak with our great leader, D. Sidious: 'Wipe them out. All of them.'
gr8ful wes Oct 21, 2002, 10:14 AM It just turned 1600. I have 4 colonies on the coast of north america and 3 inland one for beaver, one for ore and one for cotton. Most of the raw materials are boycotted. And my best trading partner, the Arwaks on Haiti have been destroyed by the Brits., who are also trying to exercize some influence in North America. Franklin should keep them off my back while I go rumorhunting.Got a heckler colony on cuba to try and interfere with the brits and a bunch of scouts in south america to go searching rumors. I only just got De Soto, much too late for my liking. Both the French and English are already well established. Spain is out early due to a very quick Treaty of Utrecht.

Dont know how to. I am not the most computer savvy fellow, plus I post at work but play at home.
Will tell you this:
Went rumor hunting with a ton o scouts, and found ssomething like 5 fountains of youth and 8 of the 7 cities of Cibola, (I really didnt count.
Bought several frigates(3-4) and 2 galleons to get all those settlers over. Most of them were indentured or free colonists, they all headed out to get trained by the natives.. All the criminals became missionaries. The specialists were immediately put to work, but some arent being used to their full potential(farmers in the mill, Gunnsmiths cuttin wood.) I have been having some terrible luck trading with the indians and rarely get more than $500 for a load. Fortunatley I have one custom house that o is unloading a lot of raw materials quickly. I am trying a new method here of building a lot of little outposts around the great lakes for fur. When Hudson comes on board this should give some decent cash. It is now 1616, and things are trickling along. Just built my future Cigar City out in Texas, 2 silver outposts, and another sugar producer on Cuba. The Frigates have raided the british transports once and scored guns/hammers. More later. Probably after Sunday, as I am spending a lot of free time in prusiut of a deer, with a bow.
SunTzu Oct 24, 2002, 01:48 AM 8 of the 7? is that possible? ;)
gr8ful wes Oct 24, 2002, 07:23 AM I typed it with tongue in cheek
Thrawn Oct 24, 2002, 05:21 PM I just wish colonization would work at home. :( I can install it, but then it tends to crash on me. Can't play with sound either. :(
Think I need to find an old pc from a second hand shop somewhere.

dalgo Aug 30, 2003, 07:09 AM Yes you can have more than 7 of the Cities of Cibola. The most I've had in one game is 13.
