Is there a recommended order to play these through?

There are general guidelines. Unfortunately it has been so long I don't remember them.

Mulcarn Reborn is last, and Black Tower is close to last; certain independent scenarios (like Barbarian Assault) should be played previously, since the results there can help in the Black Tower. The Splintered Court also affects other scenarios.

Start with the Menagerie, it is an introductory scenario. Sorry, I forgot the name, but the scenario wtih Dain in the Dungeon is a good second one (good fun).

Of course, the Decius ark, Falalmar Ark, and Ilian/Doviello Ark's have their own order so they are easy. The independent scenarios at the bottom can be played pretty much at any time.

From a story ark standpoint, there are other contingencies, so look around the forum for some more help.

I'm pretty sure splintered court has effects on The Black Tower so that could go before it. Also the Beneath the Heel chronologically has to come before the Momus because of the part with Beeri Bawl, but perhaps that messes up how you want to play them in terms of difficulty and gameplay.
