I'm trying to set up a LAN game with my mac & a PC. The games do now show up in the lobby. I have updated both games for patch 3.19 so they are they same version. Any ideas? Thanks

Thanks Zortrium Oct 31, 2009, 05:00 AM Use Direct Connect to the host and it should work without a hitch. jodilynne516 Oct 31, 2009, 12:59 PM Where do I find the Direct Connect option? With 2 PC's I was able to just go into the LAN lobby and find the other computer. Could there be a firewall setting that is keeping the 2 from seeing each other? I've only had my mac for about 2 weeks, so I'm just learning everything about it. AlanH Oct 31, 2009, 01:50 PM Welcome :wavey: Did you mean the games do *not* show up in the lobby? Yes, there may well be a firewall issue. Where are you hosting the game - Mac or PC? jodilynne516 Dec 12, 2009, 02:40 PM Welcome :wavey: Did you mean the games do *not* show up in the lobby? Yes, there may well be a firewall issue. Where are you hosting the game - Mac or PC? Oops. Yes, I meant not. I tried hosting on both mac & pc - neither will show up. Have been able to play via internet game, with a password so it is only me & my husband, however only the pc can host. If the mac hosts, the game does not show up on the pc. Also, it says the game files are different, even though both are patched to 3.19 (I assume that is because the different OS). We go OOS often though (sometimes reconnect for only a turn before going OOS again). |
