First off, whoever designed MF is an absolute genius... solves all my problems, I absolutely love it, BUT, having one issue:

I'm trying to set it where it will only save maps that have access to stone, as well as a few other parameters, and I'm noticing that it's saving maps that don't have access to stone (or at least aren't visible... can MF see in the dark? I haven't loaded any of the maps and walked around, just loaded them up through MF.)

I have test range set to 999 and the total rule set is as follows:

RULE CATEGORY RULE SEL MIN/MAX
----------------------
Terrain Groups Deserts 0/1
Terrain Groups Hills 1/3
Bonus Groups Food 1/999
Other Types River 2/999
Bonus Types Stone 1/2
Terrain Groups Grasslands 2/999

OR

Terrain Groups Deserts 0/1
Terrain Groups Hills 1/3
Bonus Groups Food 1/999
Other Types River 2/999
Bonus Types Stone 1/2
Terrain Groups Floodplains 2/999

Any help would be much appreciated.

Oh, have another issue of sorts.

I've downloaded a few of the saved games from the HOF, and when I try loading them up it says: "The save file you have selected is protected to ensure the assets in your mod folder have not been changed." Then it says "Load Failed" and promptly exits the program :(

Downloaded the older version of HOF that the saved game was created in... is this just not something I'm able to do?

If you're playing with Vista, you'll probably find that the Map Finder directory is read only and the rule building isn't accepting your changes.

Probably won't be able to load up older games as they are in previous versions of Civ (even if you have the right version of HOF mod).

I had the same problem initially with the rules. Mapfinder was searching using the default rules, not the one that I had set up.

The problem was that I had saved my new rules under a different name other than "default". After I went back and saved them under the "default", it worked as it should.

The other option if you save your rules with a different name than "default", you have to go to options (Ctrl + Alt+ O) and change the file name for mapfinder to use from "default" to the new name you created.
