Anyone run into this problem? I have 3 settlers out and none can build cities. No buttons, no response from keyboard. They move, just don't build. If this cannot be fixed, this game is toast!

I'm a Mac user, OS 10.1.4, Civ3 1.21g.

I can think of several possibilities:

1. Your settler is on a mountain. Cities cannont be built on mountains
2. You have exceeded the maximum number of cities allowed--512
3. Your settler is adjacent to another city. You cannot build cities right next to each other.
4. You have something modded that may have messed things up.

You should also download the v1.29f patch.

Thanks, I did get the 3 to set up cities. I did try to make one in the mountains. And maybe too close to other cities. I love the game but it really is complex.....

Is patch 1.29 for Macs?

I don't know anything about patches for Macs. Go check out the Firaxis.com website.

There's no 1.29f patch for the Mac yet.
