my stupid computer wont even detect the disk in the drive, i cant work out why it isnt detecting it but coz of that i cant even install it!!

im using vista btw im guessing thats part of the problem

Can you open up My Computer, open the CD drive and see it? Does the CD drive detect other discs?

no when the disc is in there it still doesnt come up in my computer and i tried playing a dvd and that didnt work either! aint got a clue why its not working, im starting to think it must be some serious problem with the drive as it isnt playing dvds as well as games!!

Yeah, it's the drive. And you did the reboot thing too, right?
