Hello,

First, excuse me for my english ( or american ? ) but il don't speak very well

This map is an alternative world of the year 1890.
alternative for more reasons :

1° Germany and Austro-hungarian are one empire
2° Belgium stay in the Netherlands after 1830
3° Canada is out of the British Empire

Il have make some resumes of that situation in the sheet of every empire :

The empires in the world :

edit : two modifications for russia and Empire of persia : Russia was low early in the game and then i strengthen it and for persia, it's conversely ( because persia is the vassal of empire Ottoman)

edit 2 : a little vision of world :

Mmm is it like that the whole world is obsessed with Canada having it's own civ... Or is it just so that this board is immensly populated by Canadians?

This is not the first scenario/mod with a Canadian civ :P

A few inaccuracies: Britain should have Egypt, and Germany should have Tanzania.

It's partly that and partly that Canada takes up so much of the map like Brazil.

Well, I've been playing the scenario for the past few days, and I like it. Except there's random city ruins all over the place, and a few city names are mispelled. Not sure if it's the French spelling though. But otherwise, great scenario, especially for a WB save.

A few inaccuracies: Britain should have Egypt, and Germany should have Tanzania.

In fact since 1804, Egypt was virtually independent but formally part of the Ottoman Empire.
Similarly, the British intervention in 1882 to control the Suez Canal to the will to achieve the same Russian straits will be transformed into a protectorate until 1914.
For simplicity, and balance things up a bit, so I took into consideration the formal side of the political and therefore left the Egypt of the Ottoman Empire.

For Tanzania, I just look for a map and in fact seems to be German tanzania (which was not on my original map); You're right.
I might be seen to change this.:)

Thank you :)

I used a pre-existing script that I converted back: some cities were present, in English, and I have not touched. I added many others to stick with the 1890 scenario and I can have without noticing put the French name.
then, it be possible that we have a mix between English and French names on the map! :D

It's an understandable mistake. Most of the names are similar (Manille/Manila, Copenhague/Copenhagen). The only real mistake is Bangkok being where Rangoon should be.

Excuse me, but I do not agree: The city of Bangkok was located near the river which corresponds roughly to the reality as Rangoon is slightly higher on the card (given the inprécision of this such map)

Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, should located to the southeast on the sugar near Saigon.

-i played the Imperium , kinda strange how many civs declare war on me ...
fought like 7 in 50 turns ( they would need like 2 great scientist and engineer and some 3 generals to make up for lack of cities )

-also , played the UK a bit , they have - 500 gold/turn at 100% gold and go bankrupt in few turns , even though they have no navy (weird that ) , and only garrison troops .
i had to heavily mod them , like placing towns everywhere (in India mostly), adding great merchants to London (about 50 ) - (try adding them some navy and expeditionary army).

-strangely there is no christian holy city ? .

-i think you should try to play every major power some 10 turns and see what everyone needs to start with a stable economy .( add merchants and towns to every civ )

Thank you for playing this scenario.;)
but in fact I did not try to be balanced for each civilization starts always just to have different challenges for each.
